We loved the setting in a pretty garden next to the rice paddies! It’s nicely decorated and comfortable. The location is good with several good restaurants walking distance. We also walked to see the bats by the lake which was fun! They arranged safaris in Bundala and Yala for us ahead of time and our driver/guide was really good, he knew where to go and how to get in the best spot to see many animals including two leopards and a bear! We enjoyed our stay here and in Tissa in general, the area is really pretty!
There are a lot of peacocks around and they can be noisy, but that is both a positive and a negative.

Green View Yala accomodation was in a beautiful setting with sweet decor. It was clean and the facilities were really great. It was a great place to relax after an all day safari. Our host was so kind and considerate, waiting for us as we were delayed on arrival and making sure he had booked us a Safari Jeep for the next day. He also served us an incredible breakfast to take on safari and for the day after safari, even helping us with directions to get the bus to our next stay.

Very, very nice place with a bit of Jungle feeing. A lot of birds and animals around. Very nice cottage, especially good for a group of 4-6 people. Also a very good and rich breakfast. Very nice host. They also arrange safari if wanted.
As it’s like a tree house, it’s quite loud trough the two levels. So perfect for a group, but could get loud when you only travel in 2 or 3, when your neighbors are loud.

We had a nice stay. The room and garden is very beautiful. It is located at a good location near the lake and close to the city and some nice restaurants. Its a family business with kind and caring people. The breakfast was tasty!

Our stay at the Green View Yala was exceptional. We stayed in the cottage, which felt like being in a fully equipped house in the middle of the jungle: a once in a lifetime experience that we will not forget. The owner is very kind and attentive. He arranged a safari for us at a very reasonable price and everything went smooth. Very good breakfast in the morning.

Such a beautiful place. They had thought of absolutely everything. Enough hooks, lights, fridge, tea and such a wonderful lush view.
The family were so lovely and helped us with booking trips.
Beds really comfortable with mosquito nets. We lived hanging out on our veranda watching the birds.
Bundala bird park was the highlight. Incredible experience and saw so much birdlife as well as crocodiles, elephants and huge Monitor lizards. Town is very sweet too with plenty of snack places and restaurants.
Lovely big breakfast too cooked by the owners wife.
We had a lovely stay.

we had an upstairs lodge, it was outstanding. lovely view of the rice fields and a well maintained spacious garden with peacocks. the family were so lovely and welcoming and helpful. the breakfast was outstanding, they organised us 2 yala trips evening and morning and offered a pack up breakfast or breakfast on our return which we opted for and it was the best we had in sri lanka, so many different home cooked local delicacies, we couldnt finish it all, 10.10. the guide took us to 2 different entrance gates for our 2 safaris and we saw 2 leopards. absolutely outstanding, cannot praise this place enough.
nothing, the only thing was we only booked one night and wished we had stayed longer.

Sweet cottage with beautiful surroundings. Really lovely host who made a great breakfast, packed lunches and helped us book a safari within 30 mins of us getting there with a great driver.
The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and creaked so much we would wake each other up if we rolled over or moved in the night. Could also be a little cleaner. Bring earplugs!
