Wonderful
The surroundings were lovely and the room was beautifully designed. The staff was attentive and helpful. We also enjoyed the dinner experience.
There was no WiFi and no hot water during our stay.

In the middle of the nature in the peace & quiet. Rooms were absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. Staff is friendly, helpful and willing to advise you throughout the stay. Very lovely brekkie & dinner.
Shower was inconvenient. Design is beautiful, but to take a shower the pressure of water was too low ? Especially for ladies washing their hair.

Super clean, very friendly personnel, super supportive in terms of organization and also very flexible - they organised a spontaneous barbecue only for my girlfriend and me at the pool with beautiful lightning, candles, good food etc. after I asked if they have some ideas for valentine. That was super cute, also they helped us to organize a very good driver, who showed us a not only a lot of animals (leopards, elephants, eagle, water buffalo, peekok, tucan,..). Could bot have been better!

We chose the property due to its proximity to Yala Park (1/2 hr drive to the Kataragama entrance.) The grounds are well maintained and the room was spacious and pleasant. The staff is very helpful and we enjoyed the food.

Jerome the property manager tries real hard to make your stay enjoyable.
It’s a very peaceful place in a safari type environment. The pool is relaxing and enjoyable.
The food was great. And since you are in the middle of nowhere it’s good to plan on having their food.
It’s true it’s Sri Lankan food, so be prepared for limited options, but the quality and experience is incredible! We loved it!
We felt completely safe eating and drinking what they served us. Which we didn’t always feel that way at other places we stayed at. Very thankful for that!
We would totally come back again! It’s worth it for a calm getaway.
The AC units are old so not working too great. But that is able to be fixed easy. And I think they are planning on replacing. It didn’t affect our stay.
There is no place to hang up clothes. But we don’t usually hang up clothes. So didn’t affect us. And I think they are sorting it out.
They are proactive at making sure things improve. Really refreshing to see that.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we immediately felt welcome. The cottage itself was beautiful and comfortable, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing. The food was delicious with excellent service to match.
One thing we really appreciated is that whenever something wasn’t working, it was fixed right away – really great service! The location in the middle of nature makes it even more special, with many different kinds of birds all around. Don’t let the road leading up to it discourage you; once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it.
The only downside was the lack of Wi-Fi, but this was easily outweighed by all the positives

Place is gorgeous. Pool is awesome. Creative designs in the room really makes you feel like you’re outdoors on a safari. Staff is very kind, helpful and fun. The chef needs special recognition because we had a full board and the food was sublime each and every time.
There isn’t really a wardrobe available in the room to hang up your clothes. And the shower head, however very creative and cute, wasn’t really pleasant to use since there was just a single stream of water.

Spacious rooms very clean and comfortable surrounded by trees and many animals and birds, whose company we enjoyed! The pool is an excellent added value. The chef cooked the most delicious local dishes we have had during our stay!
Apart from Nadi, no one else spoke English so it was quite hard to communicate our needs. No service around the pool and as we were the only ones at the hotel during the second day, we felt quite neglected. Very expensive for what it offers.

Very well presented & spacious rooms. Really nice breakfasts & evening meal. Staff were so friendly and helpful.
Poor weather meant we couldn’t take advantage of the swimming pool. The track to the property is a little bumpy.

Great location, very near to Yala National Park. Tidy room, and very spacious.
Evening meal was delicious and the staff were really welcoming and helpful. The staff also arranged a private Safari for us, which was great values for money and the driver was brilliant - would recommend!
Overall, we had amazing stay.
However, one small thing to mention, we were woken up in the early hours by monkeys on the roof. This of course can’t be helped by the hotel, however good to know if you are staying so you aren’t startled.

Absolutely loved our stay at Kele Yala. Beautiful rooms, a lovely pool and the staff were extremely welcoming. The hotel manager took us for an afternoon walk showing us the local wildlife and lagoon. As an added bonus the food was some of the best we have had so far in Sri Lanka

Lovely peaceful and comfortable accommodation made perfect by the kind and attentive staff.
The Sri Lankan food was excellent and my kids said it was the best meal they had for the whole holiday which is pretty amazing considering they had been in 5* hotels for 2 weeks!
The aircon and shower were a bit difficult to manage but we worked it out on the end so it didn't detract from our stay at all and if it had been a problem I am certain the staff would have dealt with it.
