We let us pick up by the host from the airport which worked well. The stay was perfect, very nice host, great breakfast and great appartment / location. First thing I saw from the balcony were some monkeys. The next day even more monkeys super close, as they were climbing the buildings next to it. Also we got a ride back to the train station. Thank you very much, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it

The room was spotless—probably the cleanest one we had during our entire stay in Sri Lanka. It was on the top floor, and the view was stunning. From the bed, you could see a beautiful coconut tree (this view is specific to the room we stayed in).
It’s located on a quiet, secondary street, so at night you only hear the peaceful sounds of nature. The owner is very friendly, polite, and communication was excellent throughout our stay.
Breakfast is basic: two eggs, a sausage, and some fruit. However, the owner can also cook a delicious dinner—I highly recommend trying it!
The room doesn't have a fridge, but there is a TV. The bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, and shower gel.
If you want to explore the area, you can ask the owner—he can drive you wherever you want to go. We wanted to visit Sigiriya from there, so we booked him for the day, and he took us to all the places we wanted to see. It made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable.
We really enjoyed our stay here and only wish we had stayed longer than two nights. Without a doubt, we’d return if we ever come back to Sri Lanka and Kandy.

We were driving toward Nuwara Eliya when we decided to spend the night in Kandy. It was such a wonderful time there with Indi and Anjara. They are incredibly lovely hosts and so helpful. We wished we could have stayed longer at their place. Their home is clean and tidy. Just be aware that if you’re arriving by car, it’s not directly in the city center but still close by. It has an amazing view from the terrace, and we truly felt at home.

This is a lovely quiet spot, a bit out of and above the city (but we had no problem getting Tuk Tuks - using the PickMe app - to take us to and from the centre) with lovely views from the terrace. Very friendly staff and a very relaxed time - in VERY hot conditions.
Just be aware that there's not much in the immediate area and it's quite a walk to get back from Kandy on foot - but we chose the property specifically so we'd be a bit out of the bustle - and there were always Tuk Tuks for us so that worked well for us.

Great people, lovely view from the terrace and great while eating breakfast, comfortable mattresses, good, clean AC, nice bathroom. Location is great (quiet) but you need tuktuk/car to get to the center.
Warm water and good water pressure.
We ate our best rice and noodles with vegetables during our whole trip.
Difficult to park a car :p but when you manage, the parking spot is in the shadows

What a find! We loved our stay at Villa Forest View, fantastic location away from the hustle and bustle of Candy city centre but still easy to access. Clean and comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast on the roof terrace, with jungle views! Not to be missed! We highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!

Up the hill from the city and the noise. Great room, modern style with a big functional bathroom. Nice place, with a great view from the roof top terrace where we could order breakfast and dinner. Had our laundry done there too and the staff was really friendly and accommodating.

Location fantastic.. close to anything you like to do .. great view from the top balcony.. quiet peaceful neighborhood.. very accommodating owner / Managers .. parking good .. facility is excellent clean .. definitely value for stay .. isthuti..!
Would recommend kettle with X2 cups minimum .. a plus would be mini bar fridge store one's own orange juice, water , beers ..

We loved our stay here! Anjana and his family went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
The breakfast was one of the best I had during 3 weeks in Sri Lanka and they made something special each morning. We also had really tasty dinner, with great views on the rooftop.
They also helped to arrange a Tuktuk into town (5-10 min drive), a great driver for a day trip to the tea fields, and suggested activities (thanks for the tip to visit the Ambuluwawa Tower again). Anjana even drove us to our next location for a fair prize.
The rooms are clean and comfy, with the deluxe rooms offering great views over the forest.
I would definitely recommend to stay here when in Kandy, being very close to the city center while staying in a more calm, nature environment.

It is a little out of the main part so you do need transport / tuk tuk but actually it worked well as it was so quiet!

The accommodation is located just outside the centre of Kandy and offers spectacular views. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat, this is the place for you. The hosts are very friendly and heart-warming. The food at the accommodation is highly recommended. There is a small tower with a jungle view where you can enjoy the sunset. The host gives great tips about Kandy and if you are planning to travel to Sigiriya, be sure to ask the owner for tips, he will also help you to plan your trip there.
