Everything about my stay was amazing! The husband and wife running the place treat you like family and ensure you have an enjoyable stay in Kandy. They helped me plan my activities and even organized a jeweler to make a ring for me. I got to go to their home and watch the ring being made. Overall 10/10 recommended!

I'm in the hospitality industry, and I have never had a kinder, more charming host. I would not visit Kandy again unless I cold stay here.
It was a homestay, NOT a cold concrete hotel tower. Property was large enough to ensure privacy when needed.
Located "up in the hills", it may seem hard to reach... until you realize that your other choice is smoggy, crowded downtown.
TukTuks will get you there easily.

I had a wonderful stay thanks to the host’s kindness and care. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and felt like a home away from home. The host was always ready to help with local tips and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
If you plan to visit, I recommend communicating your arrival time early — the host is very flexible and appreciates good coordination. Overall, it was a warm and memorable experience that I would happily repeat. Highly recommended!

I loved loved staying here. Pringi is the best! She is so friendly, genuine, and a absolute sweetheart. I wish I got to stay longer. She had lots of great tips and also makes the best breakfasts!! When I think of Sri Lanka, I think of the country fondly because I have met folks like Pringi.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Peppermint! It was my first stop in Sri Lanka, and Pringi offers you straight away this "home away from home" feeling. She's an amazing woman, excellent cook, always trying to help you in any possible manner. The room is beautiful with a gorgeous view over the nature. The place is quiet, you only hear birds, and monkeys and chipmunks come visit you in the morning. I couldn't dream better!

Pringi is a lovely host who makes you feel so welcomed and pampered. She went above and beyond and helped us to plan our days and get transportation in the city.
Her place is bright, and there is a nice common balcony at the top where you can chill with other guests.
She makes really good breakfasts and prepared special gluten-free pancakes for us.
We ate one dinner at the home stay and it was really lovely.
My husband had to work while visiting, and Pringi and her husband made sure he had a really good internet connection.
Although the location is quiet and beautiful, it is quite far from the center, and it requires about 15 minutes of a ride by tuktuk.
They had a problem with the water system while we were staying, but that should be fixed shortly.
The house is made of wood, and the walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors.

The Peppermint was beyond my expectation. It is nestled in a very nice quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees. Nature is all around with the sounds of birds. The hosts are the stars of the place. I've not eaten more fine Srilankan food than at the Peppermint. I highly recommend and will return.

Our stay here was incredible, all thanks to Pringi and her husband, who were the kindest hosts. They went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable, offering helpful tips on getting around the city, recommending great places to eat, and even assisting us in getting to the bus station for our trip to Nuwara Eliya. Nice accomodation in a very quiet residential area.The owners Pringi and Sheemal are very kind and helpful people and I felt like home with them.Srilankan breakfasts and dinners cooked by Pringi were delicious.

Pringi and her husband are incredible hosts. They are caring for everything - cheap tuk tuk, good places to see and how to get there, hot water in the morning for my German coffee. The Sri Lankan style breakfast was huge, very good with a bit of everything you can imagine. The room was big and clean with a wonderful glance into the jungle. A nice terrace invites to spend the evening outside with other guests. I was happy to choose the right place to stay in Kandy.
A Peppermint - sign at the front door will be helpful for the guests and tuk tuk drivers to find that great place to stay.

The hosts made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. They were incredibly attentive, providing great recommendations on places to visit and even giving me tips on how to avoid tourist scams. The bed was comfortable, and they went above and beyond by drying my clothes so they were ready for my departure. They even set up the terrace so I could exercise. When I struggled to find a tuk-tuk during rush hour, they kindly gave me a ride to the station. Their hospitality was outstanding.

The owners are nice and helpful. They offered us tea, we borrowed an iron and they ordered tuck tuck for us when we left so that not to be scammed (it costs 300 rupees - 1 euro to reach the center). The room had potential, it has a nice view to jungle vegetation. The house has a nice terrace.
The room was not clean, sheets were not totally clean, walls dirty, bathroom not clean.Towels were worn and white-grey. Old furniture which was not clean. No proper bathroom, as there was only a wall separating the toilet and shower. From the left side of the bed you could see the toilet,no privacy.The booking was really last minute, there was a religious festival the next day and difficult to find another place, it was raining all day, it was late when we arrived otherwise we were changing the accomodation. The accomodation had 9+ rating from reviews. We didn't expect luxury for the price we paid, but a clean very basic room. It is far from the center (about 3 km), you need tuck-tuck. Pay attention that they charge you more than normal (but still very small money, we paid 2.5 euros-700 rupees to reach the accomodation ).

This is a beautiful homestay up in the hills a little distance from the busy city. Easy to get to the town in a tuk tuk. Pringi and Srimal were wonderful hosts and looked after my every need. They made sure I knew where to go and what to do. They are lovely lovely people who absolutely deserve an excellent review. Love to them both.
Things to put on your agenda... Botanical garden, Udawatta kele forest, Temple of the tooth, local dance performance and a fabulous massage recommended by Pringi and Srimal.
