The staff were always respectful and provided the best customer service. Breakfast will last you the whole day! I also had dinner in the hotel, and had the best chicken curry I ever had in Sri Lanka.

Kandy can be pretty hectic and overwhelming. Sweet Cinnamon Kandy is 5 acres a few minutes outside of the center by Tuktuk (or car) that is filled with birdsong, lush greenery and peace. It is beautiful! There's a pool, the facilities are lovely and the staff is great! Maryam went the extra mile to help us change our last day plans and it meant the world to us. I highly, highly recommend this hotel.

Kandy is a bustling noisy city with quite a traffic issue if you arrive at the wrong time, especially towards the Lake (but it is without doubt a beautiful lake) but this hotel which is about 10 minutes from the station (if traffic is light) in the opposite direction, is a peaceful haven away from the main roads set in its own gardens and surrounded by trees full of wonderful birds and their delightful calls. The deluxe room was very large and beautifully presented when we arrived (flower petals on the bed), the food was just terrific (we had the Sri Lankan breakfast both days) plus an extremely tasty dinner (there was more food than we could get through), and the staff so welcoming and helpful, especially Ashon the manager, who was a pleasure to deal with and chat to. .

Beautiful colonial architecture with the most stunning garden. Charming staff and lovely Sri Lankan food
Very hard to find for drivers picking up and dropping off. It’s further out of the centre than we hoped, but what comes with that slight inconvenience is space and calm. It would have been very welcome to have had the rooms refreshed daily with clean dry towels etc… and tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would have made this even more comfortable. The windows in our ground floor room looked out onto the garden but were not obscured in the bathroom. Whilst no one could see into the room unless they were stood in the garden it was unnerving nonetheless and did not feel private.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Cinnamon Kandy.
The staff gave us a warm welcome with coffee and cake before showing us the rooms and facilities.
Everything exceeded our expectations, and we felt right at home in this lush and green oasis.
The room was spacious, quiet, clean, and full of natural light. So far, we had the best sleep on our two week journey through Sri Lanka.
Thank you to everyone at Sweet Cinnamon Kandy for making our stay so easy and enjoyable.
There is nothing to complain about. Maybe the breakfast could be bigger, but to be fair, we had dietary requirements, and the staff did their best to accommodate for us.
Maybe a fridge inside the room, but the staff kindly put our food in the kitchen and we were fine.

Wonderful
Booked the property at very short notice . I’d fallen during my trip and had a short stay in hospital. I needed to rest up for a couple of days before continuing my trip. I asked for a quiet room so I could rest. The staff couldn’t do enough for me and looked after me making sure I could rest. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms spacious and very comfortable. No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room but staff got me a kettle so I could make my own. Food was excellent.
Would have liked tea/coffee making as standard.
The food menu was limited although good and fresh
