What to say, the most beautiful place in Kandy! It is worth to go to Kandy just to visit this house and the hosts! This is a super comfortable house, very clean, with a beautiful garden to walk in, a green roof top where to have breakfast and a patio where to spend the evening playing guitar, or having dinner, or having interesting chat with owners…or all of it!
Very close to markets and mini restaurants where you can eat yummies hoopers or whatever you like, cheap fruit markets, bus stop, Tuk Tuk gatherings, and whatever you need!
Hosts are very friendly and helpful to help you planning alternatives routes instead of typically tourist routes.
They also helped us to rent a scooter , with the pick up and drop off in place, very easy!
I almost forgot to suggest you to ask for a coffe, very tasty!

Very clean and very friendly.. Homestay is not just a word in this accommodation, you truly are staying and being welcomed in the host's home. The room and bathroom are upstairs. The bathroom is private but separate from the bedroom.

That was the best sleep-over after a week travelling. Percy and Diloo (and Nikki, the German shepherd) are the loveliest hosts. We’ve been welcomed like a family. The house and garden are beautiful, it’s super clean. The room is big enough, we were free to enter the owners’ part of the house. Percy can give you tips of places to visit. Both are very warm, smiley people with excellent sense of humor. The “home” is highly recommended! Thank you, Diloo and Percy. And Nikki, of course)

It was our first accomodation in Sri Lanka and it was an amazing stay at Rockydale Homestay!
Percy and his wife were really helpful and we had nice conversations with them! We even got a bigger room which was a beautiful one.
I can highly recommend this guesthouse the food we had was also really delicous!
It was the best start for our travel in Sri Lanka and if we would have had more time we would have definitely stayed longer!

Really felt like home. Very friendly hosts who liked to spend time with the guests. We also enjoyed a self cooked dinner there which was delicious. As we left early we had a take away breakfast with fresh fruits, cookies and sandwiches. This was perfect for the train journey. The house ist not in the city center but it's no problem to get there with a TukTuk.

Percy and Diloo made me feel like part of the family. The breakfast and dinners were gourmet and the house itself is beautiful. Their hospitality was heartwarming. I hope I will get the chance to return again one day.
I liked everything about it. The house isn’t in the city centre but it’s a short Tuk Tuk ride away.

we loved everything about this property. the room was perfect and the hosts were lovely. but most of all the food was first class. we were truly spoilt and cannot recommend this place enough. Percy’s avocado juice is sublime. we will definitely stay there if we return to Sri Lanka.
