This is a homestay in the purest sense of the word. The owners gave us the feeling that we're part of their family. They took really good care of us, picked us up from the train station and arranged all kinds of activities, e.g., a visit to the huge budhist festival Perahera in Kandy and a great tour of a nearby tea factory. The breakfast and dinner were super delicious. We had an awesome time at Nivahana, and in the end, we felt a bit sad saying goodbye to this lovely family. Should we ever return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The hosts could not have done more to make us comfortable. They helped to arrange the visits and transport that we needed. The hostess, a trained chef, cooked some of the most delicious SriLanka food on each of the three nights we were there and provided breakfasts as well. The rooms, beds etc were comfortable, the house is in a quiet street. As well as our bedrooms, we had the use of an upstairs area and balcony.

The Nivahana bed and breakfast was truly an amazing experience! The house itself was so clean and came with our own personal chef! (The host ?) It was truly a home away from home. The rooms were so spacious and the beds were the most comfortable I have experienced. Dushy and Mr Saman were superb hosts and and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable in every way. They very kindly accommodated our request for a late checkout and we were so appreciative of the extra touches Dushy added such the lovely thoughtful note to enjoy our stay, cooking the most yummy lunch and the beautiful fresh flowers and fruits she thoughtfully placed around the home. They really made our stay extra special. Her communication was excellent and Mr Saman provided us with a list of things to do, and even offered to drive us around which really helped plan our trip. The complimentary local breakfast was fantastic! We cannot recommend our stay at the Beautiful Nivahana House highly enough. Hands down the best B & B experience! We will definitely be back soon!

It’s my pleasure to convert my genuine thoughts about ‘Nivahana’ home stay into words. I am highly appreciative of the owner of the premises who wholeheartedly treat the guests. They keenly look into all the needs and wants of the customers. Even the foods are delicious that you would probably come back again and make Niwahana one of your first choices. It’s a high secured place where you can truly enjoy the wonder of beautiful kandy. Highly recommend.
