A wonderful homestay with a host who really stands out. He was warm, thoughtful and made sure I had everything I needed. It felt like staying with someone who truly enjoys welcoming travellers. The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place has a relaxed, friendly vibe.

Great location near city centre (walking) but even greater hosts. And this is is nicest place we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka so far (it’s our 6th place). Very modern, super clean, comfortable beds, and very nice view.
Breakfast included would be a nice touch. Still, we ordered breakfast and it was good.

We are so glad we chose Jaye's Homestay for our time in Kandy. The setting is lovely --- close enough to walk to town (though on a hill, so can easily take a tuk tuk to town or elsewhere if preferred) but on the edge of the jungle with beautiful lush scenery. Jaye is such a friendly, welcoming and informative host! The room had a comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom and nice balcony to enjoy the view. And the breakfast was plentiful and delicious and served on a scenic patio.

Room is a good comfortable size. Bed was comfortable, there is are lots of storage areas to take out your luggage and be comfortable. The shower was heavenly and the view outside was beautiful and peaceful. It was immaculately clean and breakfast was lovely and fresh. The owners couldn't do enough to help you. Definitely my favourite accommodation in Sri Lanka and highly recommended!

Jaye told me about the best place in town to get some traditional Sri Lankan cuisine which was amazing!
Lovely room with a balcony, A/C and a good ensuite bathroom.
Would definitely recommend!

Jaye is absolutely lovely and I highly recommend staying at his home stay when visiting Ella! The room is lovely, comfortable, and clean. The view over Kandy is spectacular from high in the hills, but is only a 20min walk from the train station and then 12mins back into the city center. The Sri Lankan breakfast is so tasty, would definitely recommend.
Jaye is very kind, helpful, and welcoming.

We only stayed for a night but this Homestay had everything we needed. Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and spacious with good views. Shower had better pressure than ours at home! WiFi and aircon worked well.
The breakfast comes at a small cost but was plentiful and delicious. Really enjoyed chatting with Jaye, he was a wonderful host.
Location was only a 5-10 minute walk to Kandy but we preferred staying away from the noise of the city centre. Highly recommend staying here

Great location near the lake, the room was big, clean and comfy.
Bathroom was like an hotel one, also the terrace looking at Kandy was great.
Jaye was such an amazing host.

We had a wonderful stay at Jaye’s homestay. The location offers a breathtaking view over the city, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. The rooms were comfortable, and for the first time in Sri Lanka, we enjoyed a truly great shower!
The air conditioning takes quite a while to cool the entire room.
