We never actually stayed there as the tuktuk driver could not find it, and the Google map was vague and unhelpful.
We rang the number thrice, but got no response. The fool who manages tge place wasted our time, and a taxi fare, and we had to go elsewhere

Welcoming family, comfortable room in a lovely, quiet area of Kandy. Delicious breakfast with their home grown coffee. Host showed us her amazing garden with coconut trees, coffee, jackfruit, mangoes..... Would recommend

We stayed in Kandy for two nights in this lovely house. The two brothers who run it are really kind and helpful and make you feel welcomed in every way.
It was really a pleasure to chat with them, taste their dishes and hear their stories. We recommend all travellers who are thinking of spending a few nights in Kandy to stop by here.

The owner was really friendly and his sister was an amazing cook. I enjoyed staying at their place because it felt like a home!
The location was further away from the center than it was advertised but a short tuktuk ride brings you to the center quickly.

We had an excellent stay at Jayawimana. The hosts are very friendly, kind and helpful. It is in a peaceful part of Kandy. They gave us a lot of useful tips for visiting Kandy, cooked us delicious dinners and we had some lovely conversations together. We would love to come back one day.

Great choice for staying in Kandy. Rienzie was very welcoming, friendly, talkative and more than helpful with everything. He even cooked me dinner when I arrived in the evening.
I also recommend staying at his sisters place in Dambulla if you are heading there.
Fair to mention is the distance from the city, but it is cheap to get a tuktuk (around 400 Rs, 15 minutes drive).

Rienzi and his sister Merci were amazing hosts! They were so attentive and welcoming, helped me with my trip planning, arranged other part of their family to drive me and accommodate me. Thanks to them I fell in love with Sri Lanka straight away! The meals that Merci cooked were delicious as well.

A shared dinner, priced at just 850 Sri Lankan rupees, became a doorway to meaningful conversations with the owner and his nephew. What began as a simple meal evolved into a night of shared stories and laughter that flowed well into the late hours.
The enchantment led us to extend our stay by two more days, drawn by the richness of our interactions and the sense of belonging we felt. Deep conversations and shared adventures wove a tapestry of memories that will forever linger in our hearts.
Notably, the owner's professionalism and former role as a hotel school principal shone through in every aspect of our experience. This wasn't just a stay; it was a genuine connection and a home away from home.

It was our best stay in Sri Lanka so far! The owners really treat you like a family. They prepared us delicious breakfast and dinner and even considered my special diet. Also, I was able to use their kitchen.
Since it was one day before Sinhala and Tamil New Year, we also had a chance to taste some traditional cakes. :)
We had some interesting conversations about Sri Lanka's culture and got to know many new facts.
There was a mosquito net in the room and the room was very clean and modern.
Bed could be a bit bigger, but everything else was just perfect, so it was not an issue at all. :)

It was perfect, the hosts are extremely nice and welcoming, the food is very good (you can even cook with them if you like!), it's also quiet and clean.
The accommodation is a bit far from the center but there is a direct bus at the end of the street ?
