This tea estate bungalow sits just below the mini world's end observation point. It has a wonderful location with stunning panoramic views across the valley to the Knuckles Mountain range. It is situated about 10 to 15 mins uphill from the Hatale tea factory and is surrounded by tea bushes in every direction. Due to the elevation one can enjoy relatively cool evenings with no need for air conditioning. It is a very peaceful and tranquil place where most of the time all one hears is the sound of birdsong. We spotted a large number of different species in our three day stay. The bungalow sits in a very pleasant garden with mature trees and shrubs. When you book a room at the bungalow you actually get the whole bungalow to yourself and can enjoy a very private experience. Our bedroom was comfortable and very spacious with a large seating area and attached bathroom. We had access to the large lounge , dining room and the balcony with the wonderful views. If you need it , you can also use the washing machine and dry your clothes in the garden. We were also provided with a cook who was always eager to please and made delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts, dinners and snacks. The manager, Akram , was exceptionally welcoming and friendly and helped to make our stay enjoyable , relaxing and comfortable. Our stay at this bungalow was one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely return here if in Sri Lanka again and would highly recommend it to others.
