We stayed with a very warm and welcoming family and felt comfortable from the very first moment. Everything was clean, and the hosts supported us continuously with anything we needed, always with kindness and care.
The location is not right in the busy city center, but still very well situated. This made it peaceful and relaxing, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was delicious!
We would definitely come back and would love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

it’s on a hilltop of Kandy, place was very comfortable & clean, hosts are really kind and will make sure you feel right at home. breakfast prepared by Sena was also very delicious, with a lot of love.

We're still travelling around Sri Lanka, and yet to find the kind of food we had at Evergreen. Breakfasts and dinners came with a mouth-watering array of side dishes - endless fruits and curried delights! Also, Sagreet, the son was a great help, driving us round to various locations in his free time, including to their doctor to sort out my cough!. If you are looking for the best Sri Lankan cuisine has to offer, then this is definitely the place!

I stayed at Evergreen for a total of 3 nights and was warmly welcomed by Sena and his family when I arrived. The accommodation is in a quiet location and is a welcome change from the vibrant city.
My room had everything I needed, it was comfy, clean and I had a good night's sleep. There are also seating areas outside the guest rooms with beautiful views of Kandy and the mountains beyond. Breakfast and dinner prepared by Senna‘s wife were always freshly made and absolutely excellent.
I always felt welcome, everyone was so helpful and caring. We had many nice conversations. The guide they arranged for me for a hike in the Knuckles mountains was very good, I had a wonderful day.
The Evergreen is my first choice in Kandy and I can thoroughly recommend it.

Absolutely lovely people. Couldn't have been more welcoming. The hosts had also arranged transport for us with Indika (who incidentally was a very charming man who provided a professional service). Food provided was great, really enjoyed our chats. Would absolutely recommend Evergreen.

Breakfast was amazing. I would definitely go back.
You definitely need a tuk tuk to access the house. We had a driver, so this wasn't a problem.

I really liked the place, it was very nice and peaceful whereas we are in Kandy! There is also a very nice view and we feel directly welcomed, with tea and biscuits ! The people are very nice and they exchanged a lot with us, very interesting talkings and nice family. I enjoyed breakfast very much, one of my favourite in Sri Lanka! I had asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast it was just delicious.
I wish we could have breakfast outside, but I appreciated to be welcomed in the house.

Ranjini and Sena are a very kind and caring couple and made me feel instantly at home after two long days of travelling. Ranjini is an amazing cook and prepared amazing breakfasts and dinner for me and the other guest. They are very well informed and are happy to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants and other practical matters in the area. The house and room are located on a hillside with plenty of green, a beautiful view over Kandy and sufficient shade to provide some cooling on the hotter days. This place exceeded my expectations and made me feel very welcome in Sri Lanka. Great value for money

This place is offered by very kind educated retired couple who really care about the details. The rooms and bathroom are clean and shiny, which is not common in Sri Lanka’s homestays. The villa has a nice view and very quiet position. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay longer than one night.

We as a family of 2 adults and 2 small kids stayed at Evergreen homestay. It is a cozy homestay nestled between nature. The hosts were really welcoming and very friendly. They opened their doors for us to make our stay comfortable and our kids also felt very much at ease!
They arranged a very friendly tuktuk ride who took us to all the sightseeing places in Kandy. He spoke English very well which made it very easy to get around. The son in law of the host himself drove us to Nuwara Eliya with nice sightseeing stops along the way!
We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend to everyone who would like a personal homely touch to their stay!

I had a great time at Evergreen! The room was very clean and cozy. Most of the time I had to work, so they provided me an extra table that I could be on my laptop and enjoy the great view at the same time.
Every wish was fulfilled and I regularly received delicious tea, of course at no extra cost. The hosts are just great and interesting personalities! They speak very good English and I enjoyed our conversations.
I highly recommend the breakfast! I could always choose what I wanted to eat and even my favorite fruits were provided. The portion is fantastic, it was usually enough for me until dinner. 10/10!

Every single thing, the place, the hosts, the food. Everything was just top notch.
If you are someone who like staying far away from the noise of the city and want to spend time with local people then this is the place for you.
I talked for hours with Mr and Mrs. Sena, listening to stories of time spent in Sri Lanka.
The location was so good. You can see the complete the city from there.
Rooms were quite good. Wish I could have stayed longer.
