Staff was not attentive sometimes, especially when calling reception and also if you ask for plates and utensils, they did not offer it. The hotel surrounding background there is a tuk tuk mafia situation where tuk tuk drivers sit around trying to scavenge for guests and give hard time to pick me/uber drivers. Also one time I ordered food from uber eats and the hotel staff does not allow them to come to lobby area and I had to go out all the way to the gate in the dark. They are not very fond of guests eating outside. Also the breakfast food was not good at all, they used the same batter for dosa and hoppers. Also due to the beach situation guests cannot go to swim or outside it’s blocked off.

I loved their beautiful hotel grounds. Staff were mostly very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Food could use improvement in taste. TV in the room didn’t work though they tried to fix it. We booked a room for 4 adults, but tea cups and glassware provided were for only 2.
Property grounds and views would look even better without the fence blocking the beach. Room cleanliness could use more attention to detail - a lot of dirty nooks and crannies.

The fact that my son got food poisoning from a chicken burger and we had to stay an extra night which I was charged for and a week later, have not received a “sorry” or contact from management is very poor form. A number of the staff saw my son very sick in bed but obviously that doesn’t matter. You would think that a guest who was supposed to check out would be compensated, not this place.

Food standards need to be looked into as my son had a cream brûlée on the first evening which we sent back as it was watery. Not good enough as the accommodation isn’t cheap by Sri Lankan standards.

From the moment we arrived at Tangerine Beach Hotel, we knew we had found a special place. The warm welcome at check-in immediately set the tone staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and attentive to every detail.
Our room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, with lovely views and a sense of calm that made it easy to relax. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything neat and fresh every day. The facilities, especially the pool and garden, are beautifully maintained; walking through the lush grounds to the beach felt like stepping into a private tropical retreat.
A special highlight was the complimentary high tea they arranged for us athoughtful gesture that made our afternoon extra special. The tea service was beautifully presented with a great selection of treats and a perfect view of the gardens and ocean.

We stayed in this lovely hotel as we expected in a sea view good room overlooking the pool also.Breakfast buffet is amazing because a lot of varieties including sri lankan dishes including my favorite egg hoppers.
Food.room and facilities are par excellent beyond our expectations.
During our stay we enjoyed very much and special thanks to Lobby Manager Mr.Lalith .Mr.Mahesh in restaurant as well as room boy indika for their excellent service was given to us during our stay .

The view was great, the gift shop staff were nice and the products were good value.
The bath spout was not operational. Filling up the bathtub with the shower was not ideal. The staff seemed kind of lazy in most areas. It would have been nice if the pool bar employees got around more instead of making people go to them. Also the high tea was kind of lame. It would have been nice to know what the actual food products were instead of having to guess. Also it says right on your laundry sheet that if its turned in by 8 it would be returned in 3 hours if using express service. Your own manager wanted to argue with me about that instead of just looking at the sheets that you guys hand out.
