Overall the hotel is pleasant. The staff is super friendly!!!!! Everyone with smile, very helpful. Nice pool and nice garden.
The room and especially the bathroom needs desperatelly refurbishment. The bathroom condition was very poor but clean. The electric plug was loosen with wires out, quite dangerous in wet bathroom!!!

Location was good. Staff were very kind and helpful. The food was brilliant. The room was okay. A/C was good. Overall good. I mush have say the food was excellent. We have ordered food from A’la crate menu and our choices were so nice and yummy. Thank you so much.
The bathroom should be clean. It should be maintain.I could see weasels there. Moreover it would be better the hotel could provide toothpaste and tooth brushes to the room.

Great location. The food, both a'la carte as well as the breakfast buffet, were fantastic. Staff, specially the restaurant staff, were very helpful.
The room was not clean enough and was not a well-maintained one. The walls had wet patches; there were cobwebs on the ceiling. The room telephone did not work.

Includes buffet breakfast. Quiet stay, like a retreat house. (But hardly any beach vibe if this is what you're looking for) Secured property both on the railroad side (high gate and walls) and beach side (fence) as people are almost always waiting outside to offer/sell products and transpo services, though it also gives a negative, heavy feeling to it.
The beach in front was so inclined so it wasnt conducive for a lot of things that you can do on a wide beach. The price for the NYE gala dinner (50usd per adult) wasnt also indicated in the rate prior to booking then we also had no choice but to avail of it even if we didnt want to. Lastly, the bathroom also emitted a bad smell (it seems likenits coming out of the drain. Reported it but wasnt solved. Our room balcony was mostly facing the wall and partly the lawn area. Lounge beds facing the beach are all just within the property fence instead of the actual beach (either no space on the beach and maybe not safe. The mini pageant for the NYE queen during the gala also seemed to be inappropriate and unnecessary.

We had a great experience with the Hibiscus Beach hotel & Villas at Kalutara Sri Lanka. Staff was incredibly helpful and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful and clean. The staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
