I recently stayed at Windy waves and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
What truly made my stay memorable was the kindness of the staff (Mossas, Malinda, Nixon, Suji and everyone). everyone was genuinely helpful and courteous.
I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.
Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Exceptional space integrated with nature and right on the beach. Would recommend the beachfront cabanas - you won't regret it! Breakfast was an incredible welcome into Sri Lanka with every day offering a chance to try new local food. Warm and friendly staff are a real asset!
Nothing - everything was as per the photos/information - this is more a personal preference - I stayed in the single room with shared bathroom (outdoor, exceptional) and would have liked a window for fresh air. I would suggest finding the extra budget and booking the beachfront cabanas - they are beautiful and worth it! :)

Really nice place for kite surfing (would recommend to check the wind forecast) and relaxing at the beach. The food at the restaurant is really good. Also really nice to sleep right at the beach and hear the waves at night. We also went diving next to the hotel. Value for money is good!
Since it’s a beach villa there were always ants in the hut, I guess nothing you can do about this. Also beware that during low season this is a really remote place with nothing going on.

We had a lovely time at the nature resort, it was a welcome surprise to have Yoga offered every morning on the beach. The food was very reasonably priced and good compared to other places in the area. The trainee program for young people in the area is really nice, it sometimes takes a bit of time to get your food, but they are learning and a really good group. The accommodations are rustic, so be prepared. We had a curious squirrel or two poke their heads in to say hello.
It is cash only, but we were able to pay our entire food bill at the end with card, so it worked out quite nicely.
There are a lot of mosquitos, but the mosquito nets worked well at night. Just be sure to take repellant.

A very cool place to stay, lovely thatched beach huts. Fantastic location on the beach, great food alroind with seating metres from ocean edge. Rooms have oitdoor bathrooms which are very private and certainly different!. Nice touch of a clam shell to wash your feet from the sand before going inside. We had a lovely stay for 3 nights, very friendly staff that were very attentive. Best place to stay in the area especially for kite and wing surfing.
If I had to find fault, a menu explaining breakfast options and what you were presented with.

It is by the beach. Around the hotel, there are little roads to walk around with food places.
The hotel staff are great and helpful.
There are lots of mosquitoes in my cabana and outside. There were houseflies in the restaurant.
There’s no hot water and I caught a cold from the sudden shock of cold shower.
There’s a donkey that kept visiting my cabana compound and had to chase away.
The cabana is dim with no windows to allow the wind to blow through.
The beach along Kalpitiya is spoiled by plastic bags containing sands to stop the beach from eroding. The plastic bags are disintegrating into microplastics and is harmful to the marine environment.

Nice restaurant at beach with good food and fair prices. The beach is OK. The room is also OK and bathroom outside looks nice but it is not so useful. You can really relax here. The beach is OK to swim and on the siet there are some sunbeds. On the beach usually due to the low wind it is not problem with mosquitos.
A lot of mosquitos. Some personal speak "english" that is hard to understand. Don't expect 5 star resort. Cleanliness is basic.

We had an amazing stay at Windy Waves with delicious included breakfast and beautiful bathrooms with water coming out of seashells! Very friendly staff, clean beach and great beach front restaurant where we made some lovely friends. Very close to Ocean Lanka dive centre too who took us out for an amazing dive.
They organised us a tuktuk ride back to the bus stop which cost an arm and leg more than we were used to - definitely charging tourist prices for transport (somewhat understandably).

Very nice huts that make you feel super comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and offers a nice variety too. Also the restaurant is very good and the staff will do anything to make your stay as good as possible. Kite surfing and their teachers were amazing as well.
