What a delightful place to have spent the last 7 days on our first visit to this tropical island of Sri Lanka! The serenity, tranquility and natural beauty of Khomba House is breathtaking. The vast lush beautifully landscaped property .. the palm and other trees, the well maintained gardens, the koi pond is a nice touch, the sound of the ocean, the wide variety of birds singing and squawking including the majestic peacocks with their long brilliant tail feathers.. .. all of this just steps away from a quiet stretch of beach looking out into the Indian Ocean. This well appointed rustic styled home completely embraces nature. We were welcomed with the warm hospitality of Sisira, Indrani and Rocksan who were there to fulfill and absolutely anticipated our every need. Sisira coordinated everything and great at his job. He was also very protective of us throughout our stay. When he helped us hire a Tuk Tuk taxi he checked with the driver during our outing until we arrived back at the house! Then he was there with a flashlight to guide inside. And he was like that for our entire stay. Indrani nourished us daily with an abundance of wonderfully prepared local dishes. It was always more food than we could eat and we tried our best to eat as much as possible so she would not be disappointed. Rocksan’s daily routine of cleaning our accommodations was very much appreciated.. everything was always kept very fresh; he was always busy in the background sweeping or in the garden and opening or closing the doors and windows at the right times of the day. At sundown when the mosquitoes started to make an appearance Rocksan made sure to light the repellent which I appreciated since they LOVE me! I also loved the fresh flowers throughout the house.

The dreamhouse, the privacy, the helpfull staff en the delicious meals. The outdoor shower, the huge and peaceful garden. Fairytale stuff.

A beautiful house with good staff and delicious food. The easy access to the beach was an added bonus.
