The "chalets" are open to the outside, so anyone can jump in.
There is no AC or hot water (no hot water is fine during the heat of the day, but it can be a bit chilly if you shower later in the evening). The heat is unbearable during the day and in the evening, with no place to get away from the heat, flies and mosquitoes. Even though the chalets are open to the outside, not enough air comes in and they are very stuffy, dark and hot !
Water leaked through the ceiling and into our bed during a downpour.
It can be very noisy at night (donkeys calling, muezzin singing from the nearby mosque, fireworks, singing etc.).
The staircase leading to the bedroom is quite steep (not suitable for older or less fit people).
The food is bland compared to other places in Sri Lanka (very western oriented).
I love sleeping in nature, but when I pay this amount of money for a 4 star resort, I expect to have a certain amount of security, comfort, and air conditioning.
The place is much more expensive than others in the area. Overall, it's just not worth it.

Beautiful location, wonderful friendly and helpful staff. This place really is a delight. You can choose just to relax on the beach or take part in the range of water activities, as well as a selection of trips. We enjoyed dolphin watching and visiting Wilpattu national park, both arranged for us by the staff, as well as kayaking on the lagoon. Suranjan deserves special mention, with his broad smile, always willing to help.

The location and ideal of stay here was amazing as was all of the staff we encountered. Walks along empty beaches, good food and constant views of the ocean, donkeys, ox, etc were lovely
Although it is basically what we ‘sighed up for’ it was a bit too rustic, the water pressure was non existent (no shower, just a dribble). Had a late night visitor who damaged a bag looking for food, but I understand we were in an open beach villa to the ‘elements’

Excellent for kite surfing and wind foiling.
Lovely comfortable villa with great views over to the kite surfers on the lagoon.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
We originally booked a tree house, but when we arrived, we realised that the very steep access steeps to the sleeping area meant that it was unsuitable for two not so young travelers.
The staff were excellent and arranged for us to stay in a villa.

Great location, perfect for kitesurfing (all levels) in the windy season...and it was perfect 18-20 knots every day.... amazing. All the food was really good... quality, variety and lots of it. Great range of cocktails too ..the signature was a lot of fun. Staff were really helpful, friendly and the service was impeccable. Definitely glad we chose this resort.
Despite the sea breeze and fan it still got a bit too hot for sleeping at night at times, and those early morning donkey wake up calls!
There was still a lot of rubbish on the beach towards the lagoon, despite the daily best efforts of the resort staff to clean up around Elements which was spotless.

The Elements Beach and Nature Resort was an absolute highlight of our two-week trip to Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning location and the serene beauty of the surroundings.
The staff were truly exceptional, providing warm and attentive service that made us feel right at home. Our bungalow was nothing short of magical, with its picturesque design and cozy atmosphere. Each morning, we were delighted by the charming donkeys that came to greet us, adding a whimsical touch to our stay.
Every aspect of our experience at the Elements Beach and Nature Resort was perfect. The combination of breathtaking scenery, outstanding service, and unique touches made it a place we will never forget. It truly felt like a paradise retreat.
I cannot recommend the Elements Beach and Nature Resort highly enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable and enchanting stay in Sri Lanka, this is the place to be. We are already dreaming of our return visit!

The rooms are tastefully decorated, dinner was very good, the cook is excellent.
The whole resort is very relaxed and mixes well in nature. The beach is calm and relaxing. Truly relaxing!
They could use some fans in the restaurant area, it was very hot when we were there.

It's the most beautiful beach setting. The bungalows are very nice with outdoor shower and a very comfortable bed. The swimming pool is large and very well positioned and they have very good food selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is very nice and helpful and we had a great four days here.
The kids stayed at the upper level in the bungalow, that had very little airflow and they were really suffering from the heat. The grand floor was well ventilated and cool at night.

I very much appreciated the ecological approach which included no use of plastic and kindness towards wild animals. Extremly kind people taking care of the service in a fantastic way. Amazing food, beautiful and quiet place.
