We spent 10 wonderful days at Sri Villas Hotel in March this year and were absolutely thrilled!
The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and lovingly decorated. It has a very cozy, homely feel — you instantly feel at home the moment you arrive.
The service was definitely the highlight of our stay. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and provide a truly high standard of hospitality. No matter what you need, they’re always there with a smile and happy to help.
The food was another standout. The chefs are excellent, offering a great selection of delicious dishes. Especially the breakfast was a daily highlight — fresh fruit every morning, a choice of sweet and savory dishes, international classics and local Sri Lankan specialties. Simply amazing!
The hotel’s location is right by the ocean, with a quiet, peaceful beach that’s rarely crowded. The sea itself can be a bit rough, but it didn’t bother us at all — it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Another plus is that the hotel is very well located — just a short TukTuk ride away from great sights and attractions in the area.
We would come back any time — it’s an absolutely dreamy spot to disconnect from everyday stress and enjoy the island to the fullest.

The wonderful views from our balcony, the beautiful beach and the fantastic staff made this a lovely stay. Our House Boy was brilliant - bring us chilled water and fresh towels as soon as we returned from a trip out; he prepared meals for us remembering our dietary preferences and was always available but unobtrusive with a smile on his face - nothing was too much trouble, even organising a late check out for us. He made us feel special and pampered which was the perfect end to our holiday.
The rooms are a little jaded and in need of a makeover. There is paint peeling off the balcony doors which were very stiff to open with loose glass and no outside handle which made opening from the balcony difficult. Some of the tea tray jars were dirty rimmed and the room needed a fresh coat of paint. For the cost of the accommodation I would not expect the rooms to be so tired.

Everything was perfect! The property was spotlessly clean and the food was amazing. Amazing pool and located right on an awesome beach. We almost had the beach to ourselves. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We chose the bed and breakfast option which was great and we loved the idea that we were able to choose a different breakfast each morning from the menu which wasn't a buffet. We ate at the property every night but one. The seafood platter with lobster was incredible! Everything was very well priced. Would totally recommend a visit.

Located on the most beautiful pristine unspoilt beach. Lovely gardens and pool and we were upgraded very kindly to a fabulous room with a view of the garden and beach.
Breakfast choice was great as were the two evening meals we had made all the more memorable as we ate at a table under a palm tree with candles and lanterns, magical.
The staff here are exceptionally charming, attentive and kind and we felt totally pampered

Clean pool, very comfortable bed.
To far away from anything to walk and the food menu was very dated a limited. Very expensive place for what you got, shore dump so no good for swimming or children. Have to choose breakfast night before even if just eggs on toast. Live in staff area was really sad very dirty and mattress bottles on floor felt awful, massage was the worst my husband and I have ever had :( all out sourced. Such a shame as server and chef were good but just needs some love care and attention to bring it back to 2025. Would advise staying in Bentota at the cinnamon hotel which is 5 star and $20 cheaper per night. The food at cinnamon was fantastic we had to go to eat there most evenings as by day two we had already had most of the menu at Sri and the portions were tiny and to expensive no health options.

We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes. Our villa was stunning with wonderful sea views. So unique, spacious, stylish and very comfortable. The staff and food were the best we had experienced in our month of traveling in Sri Lanka. Outstanding and utterly charming. The beach was so quiet and although the waves too big to swim in the sound of the waves were so lovely to listen to. We did a day trip to Galle but otherwise found the villa difficult to leave.

Location was fabulous ? wonderful place, directly at the sea.
I had also birthday during our stay and the hotel staff prepared a wonderful dinner right at the sea, with Prosecco and wonderful decoration (it was a surprise: they wrote “Happy Birthday” and my name with little stones - very accurate and with details) and a cake special for me (they need to buy it outside!)
It was really a wonderful stay :-)

The room (king suit with sea view) was amazing, beautiful, luxury, clean. The staff attentive, smiling, always notes details about your preferences and makes your stay so comfortable and unforgettable. For example, when we stayed in swimming pool chairs for a long time, they moved the board with dinner options there (so you do not need to ask for a menu). This was so attentive from their side. We had 2 guys in our villa only for us. No other people were there. You feel like a king)
My overall experience does not let me put here any details that I did not like. Everything is good for me.

The villa is beautiful right on the beach.
The staff was very nice and the food very good.
The pool is also amazing if you like swimming (30meters).
The room has a beautiful sea view.
The villa is a bit old and needs some maintenance and renovation and rooms are not very “sound proof” to each other. For 250$/night you’d just expect a bit of house refresh.
