Beautiful property with great hosts, nice grassy courtyard and refreshing swimming pool. Great breakfast with eggs and fresh juice made to order. And an easy walk to the coral garden, turtle beach and many restaurants.
Just the sound of trains that I was able to ignore after the first day.

What a find. I cannot recommend Weleges Place highly enough. The very lovely couple who run it, the incredible standard of cleanliness, the very delicious breakfast, the enormous air conditioned room, the immaculate new pool, (much enjoyed after the beach) with loungers in the garden next to it. Hikkaduwa is a noisy spot and this oasis of calm was so welcome, just a stone’s throw from the town.
Oh- and they give guests a pool towel AND a beach towel AND room towels.

Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Very quiet despite being near the train tracks. Five minute walk from a beautiful beach and SCUBA diving. Staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Pool is beautiful and very nice to escape the heat.

We had a fantastic time here. The team were so welcoming, our room was excellent and very clean, and they surprised us with a flower decoration for our honeymoon. The location was perfect, close to the beach and quiet.
The train is pretty close and runs through the night however the room is well insulated so we didn’t really hear it.

This wasbest accomodation so far from all the months i ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Staff is extremely friendly and time to time i was thinking about “we people from europe, we are not really ready for that big kindness they can give to us”.
Just the stay here, environment, staff, privacy and almost brand new facility is amazing combination of comfort and everything what you need. Highly recommended!

We were really impressed with this hotel. It’s quite small and in a beautiful setting. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was perfect, spotlessly clean and everything you needed was there. The bathroom was huge with a lovely big shower! Large comfortable bed and really good air conditioning. We would happily stay here again!

Fantastic accomodation. Lovely staff and great communication. We really enjoyed our stay here, probably the best staff and breakfast we experienced in Sri Lanka.
Also, we were lucky that we were allowed the room on the day of check out to 5pm when taxi arrived so we could explore and then shower before leaving.
We will definitely recommend this place and would stay again if we visit hikkaduwa

Lovely staff, you can tell it’s a family run business. Rooms were lovely and clean. Comfortable bed and loved how close it was to the beach, super central and also peaceful which is nice. We had everything we needed, even offered beach towels and always a friendly smile.
One thing that would add to our stay would be a free water cooler for guests. Lots of hotel have them and it’s great for accessing ongoing free water via filling up our own drink bottles. If we wanted more water than the two small bottles we were given, we had to buy them.

10/10 we stayed 2 nights in upstairs rooms with the huge connecting balcony and it was perfect for us. The photos are 100% accurate. Huge comfortable air conditioned rooms with nice beds and pillows and large bathrooms with a walk in rain shower and balcony. Big shout out to the hosts who were absolutely delightful and obliging, we could not have wished for more. The accommodation is in a quiet location tucked away from the busy loud vibe of Hikkaduwa but it is a very easy 5 minutes walk to all the cafes, shops, beach, ATM (and wine shop if you enjoy a drink on the balcony after a busy hot day!) No hassles WiFi! So glad we chose this for our stay!

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.
The location was good only a 5 min walk from the beach - I thought it was literally just round the corner from the beach when booking the hotel - this was a minor issue.

It was all fantastic and whilst we were very close to the sea, a pool would have added just that extra bit of a lovely touch. Staff amazing and always smiling.
Nothing - everything was just great. If I am being really picky, just a little more coffee in the room each morning. We dont drink tea!!

The place is a bit more pricy but had very modern, clean and spacious rooms - the best we had on our whole Sri Lanka trip. The place is close to Hikkaduwa beach but is located in a quiet side street. From there you can walk to all the restaurants and bars. The people who manage the place are very friendly and open. If you have any wish dont hesitate to ask - they will figure out a way.

This was the nicest room we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Sri Lanka. Very spacious, very good quality fittings, super comfortable bed, great aircon, loads of hot water and good pressure. Sliding doors to a huge balcony overlooking the garden. Very clean, the room was serviced every day. Beach towels provided. Fabulous staff. Excellent breakfast.
Hikkaduwa beach 5-10 mins walk, we particularly liked Sea Breeze seafood restaurant which has free sunbeds if you buy drinks/food. We also really liked Narigama beach which is 5 mins in a Tuk Tuk or 20 mins walk, this is a much bigger beach and we liked Mambo‘s which had VERY comfortable sunbeds.
Turtle beach is also pretty amazing, paddling with the turtles was a real highlight.
The Hungry Bug was our favourite restaurant and is only 5 mins walk from the hotel, it’s a bring your own beer place.
It was a bit noisy at night from the surrounding hotels / bars. And 1 night a dog howling for hours.

An excellent hotel with a high level of service. Perfect cleanliness in the rooms and area. Daily and high-quality cleaning of the rooms. Large, bright rooms with a comfortable bed and snow-white linen. The veranda is just love :)). Breakfast is hearty. The hotel management is so delicate, intelligent, caring. The guys create a mood of relaxation and carefree every day.This was the best hotel of our entire trip in Sri Lanka. We thank the hotel staff for a cozy and beautiful stay! I heartily recommend the hotel!
