We have never met hosts as warm, caring, and genuine as this family.
From the first minute we felt like home. The room was spotless, the area was peaceful, and the whole atmosphere felt truly welcoming. But the main treasure of this place is the host himself.
He gives you his motorbike anytime you need it - completely free of charge. This was incredibly helpful and saved us so much time and money.
One more thing touched us deeply: one evening my wife wanted a coconut. They didn’t have any at that moment, and without saying a word the host got on his bike and went out in the rain to buy us a whole week’s supply of fresh coconuts. We were honestly shocked by such kindness.
This was one of the warmest stays in our life.
Thank you so much - we appreciate you and your family with all our heart.
If we come back to Sri Lanka, we will 100% stay here again.
Highly recommend to everyone looking for not just accommodation, but a place filled with care, kindness, and real hospitality. ❤️?

We couldn’t recommend Villa wanderlust any higher!! Irosh and his family were some of the nicest people we have ever met. From the moment we arrived until even after we left because his mum made us fresh passionfruit juice for our drive to Colombo ?
The breakfast was delicious and huge! Even espresso machine coffee ??
The location was a little out of the main part of hikkaduwa but we liked that because it was much less touristy (we had a tuk tuk to get around)
Irosh was very helpful in giving us tips for things to do in the area and even came with us to the temple to explain in English for us!!
We can’t wait to go back to Sri Lanka and will definitely stay here again when we do! ??
We did have a little issue the first night with the heat/mosquitos (no A/C) of our room however Irosh was quick to resolve this and move us to another room at no extra charge and was much better!!

Everything. There is rarely any scope for a compliant. Beautiful rooms and very spacious. Irosh and his parents are very sweet and are perfect hosts a traveler would love to have. And the breeze how can i not mention about that. The birds, their chirps oh my god it is truly a paradise

It was one of my very best vacation ever! Great location, wonderful atmosphere and people! Irosh and his mom did everything for us to fall in love with this perfect place! They were always near to help so we did not have any chance to get disappointed or feel uncomfortable:)! This is the best service and attitude experience in my life.
The villa has a beautiful patio with blooming orchids, trees which provide shadow on even very hot days, cozy terrace to spend time all day long even during tropical rain if you wish so. Breakfast was perfect: eggs, toast, jam, fresh fruits. And there is also a very convenient kitchen for self-cooking and a washing machine to use.
The location is ideal for good relaxing holiday or calm work. Very quiet, easy to work in the heat of the day. Many small grocery and fruit shops around (2-5 minutes walk)
Here you can watch wildlife: squirrels, geckos, chameleons, birds, butterflies are always nearby:)
The place is very quiet, close to a beautiful salt lake and temples. It takes 7-10 minutes to walk to the beach, you can also call a tuk-tuk or use a bike if you want to get to other places along the Hikkaduwa coast. Some may prefer to stay closer to the ocean, but be aware that the beach is quite noisy, not only from the waves, but also from restaurants, cafes, parties, etc., and the railway is also close to seas. So if you want to have a place to sleep and work peacefully, this Villa is a perfect match.
The ocean is warm and clear, you can choose a place with high waves for surfing or a beautiful place to watch turtles in calm waters :)! And I don't have words to describe the sunsets. Everyone should see this.
Lots of fruits, extremely delicious food (and especially cooked by Irosh and his mom!), warm and welcoming people, lots of natural and cultural attractions, wonderful climate! I do recommend to visit this amazing place.

I think it’s the best place that you can find in Sri Lanka. It’s like a little silent oasis with very warm owner and his family. Here is not only about accommodation it’s also about a perfect adventure that Irosh helps you to organize. Don’t doubt to stay here as long as you can

Tasty and big breakfast, good room with big mirror in the bathroom. Everything was clean and cozy

It’s quite cosy place. If you like to be waken up by magic birds music, that is exactly place to be on. Two monkey families inhabit very close to the house. Irosh, who is owner of that lovely place, is very friendly fellow and he is always ready to give any help you need in case. I got couple times extra help from him. You will not be stuck to breakfast time as it is flexible and depending on your plans and that is really cool! I would like to express my family warmest wishes to his lovely mother Mrs Daya who is kind and warm person!

This was by far the best stay on our whole trip.
The room and the bathroom is very spacious, clean and modern and you even have a fridge for yourself. The view from the balcony is just perfect, you can see lots of different fruit trees, animals and it's very green. We were welcomed with a tasty juice and fruits and the breakfast is also great.
The beach and the lagoon are not far away, it's just a 5min walk.
But the most overwhelming part of the stay were the hosts Irosh and his wife.
We have never experienced something like this before, but when you arrive at Villa Wanderlust you are not only treated like a guest, but like a friend.
It was so nice for us that you could ask them anything about Sri Lanka, their life and family or anything else, we always got honest and very informative answers. We learned so much about the culture and the country!
Unfortunately, we only had 1 night there and already booked the next nights in advance, but if we had to choose, we would have stayed there until the end of our journey.
