Exceptional
It's a large 2-room apartment in a separate building, facing a rice paddy, totally quiet, peaceful and private. In the bedroom there's a fan and an a/c which you can use at an extra fee.
Himash and his family take extra good care that everything is perfectly OK. They serve delicious and copious breakfast, every day something different. They also run a local shop for everyday needs.
There's a bus service to the beach and to Hikkaduwa city center four times a day, including weekends.
I booked for 14 days and liked it so much that I extended my stay for an additional full month.

Exceptional
I really liked the villa, it’s a big bedroom and also a living room combined with the kitchen. The villa is very light, there are 5 big windows in the bedroom.
No probs with ac and electricity.
The host family is absolutely gorgeous!! They own a shop which is in the first floor and a medical center. I’ve had some medical issues and they kindly helped me. The family was so caring and really welcoming, I was even sad to say goodbye.
The location can seem for somebody a little bit far away from the ocean. But for me it was perfect: calm, peaceful, safe, no tourists, you can feel real Sri-Lanka living in such place, so close to local people, that’s what I wanted! Also it’s really green and beautiful outside, real jungles :)
