Wonderful

Exceptional
The villa was fantastic, stunning views, amazing to wake up to in the morning. The staff who are there all day make some amazing food. We really enjoyed the breakfast sitting outside under the shade. The family loved the swimming pool having it available all the time was great. Jayantha was also available to help if needed.
Not to take anything away on a wonderful stay, the living room/ ground floor was open to the outside. Although heavy blinds were available, and the guys would put it down for us in the evening. Some people may however like this... And during the day it was fine... Having small kids who weren't completely one with nature, the evenings/nights were a little testing! But this was a small matter...

I stayed at Madampe House for 11 nights in November with 3 other friends. Prior to our arrival, I corresponded with Jayantha and Alistair who jointly own Madampe House, with Jayantha acting as manager. They responded very quickly and were extremely helpful. Jayantha had arranged for us to be collected by minibus from Columbo along with 2 other friends and our lovely driver took us to Madampe House. On arrival, we were absolutely blown away by the beauty of Madampe House and its gardens. Jayantha was there to meet us along with the 2 girls who would be looking after us during our stay. The girls had prepared the most delicious Sri Lankan dinner for all of us upon our arrival, which we ate in the beautiful gardens. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. Throughout the trip, the girls would do all our laundry and return it to us ironed. They would also serve us delicious nibbles and fruit juices made from the fruit in the garden. They did absolutely everything for us and always with beautiful, genuine smiles. The view looking from the house into the garden was absolutely stunning – a view you would never get bored of. The gardener took such great care of the garden. The pool was cleaned every morning and was refreshingly cool. Every morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, including fresh fruit form the garden, fresh bread, as well as various different types of breakfast including egg hoppers, banana pancakes, etc. I would recommend getting the girls to cook for you, food better than any restaurant and perfectly seasoned. We had full body massages at the house by Sasantha Weeraddana. The wildlife is just amazing. Monitor lizards, kingfishers, mongoose, etc. As the sun went down, 100’s of huge bats would fly over. Madampe House is the most beautiful place to stay and I fully intend going back in a couple of years to celebrate my 60th birthday,

Exceptional
Stunning surroundings and a very thoughtfully designed house to maximise natural environment. All meals were exceptional, even better and cheaper than the best restaurants we found on the island. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful while allowing you as much privacy as you need. Communication before arrival was friendly, quick and accurate. Jayantha and his team do an exceptional job and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and be well looked after.
Nothing. I don't write reviews often, but these people deserve nothing but praise and thanks. This was exactly as described but the personal touches from Jayantha - who can arrange things quickly and at very reasonable prices - give this place a very special feel.
