Initially I booked this place only for 2 nights, then I extended it to 5 nights because it was such a nice, clean, well organized, peaceful place with great staff. Delicious & healthy breakfasts in the morning.

We were greeted very hospitably with juice despite our late arrival. The room is large with a good bed and pillows and a large balcony overlooking the pool. There was a good pressure of hot water in the shower.
We enjoyed our stay very much, a huge thank you to this place and people ?? at the end we were given a magnet as a souvenir

Staying at Jippie was like staying at home. The hosts are super friendly, you can use the shared kitchen, the pool is clean, the rooms are spacy and clean, the location is great and there are even monkeys.

The rooms was big and the pool was nice, the staff was kind.
The description stated that a 45-minute massage per day and access to a spa were included. However, when we arrived, there was no information about these services, and the staff never mentioned them, which was very disappointing since this was a key reason for booking the hotel.
In addition to this, we experienced several other issues during our stay:
- When we paid in cash, we did not receive our change until we specifically asked for it.
- The towels had a sour smell and stains on them.
- The bed linens had holes in them.
One bedside lamp and one ceiling light wasn’t working.
There was a sewage smell in the bathroom.
Considering the price, we expected a higher standard, but unfortunately, the hotel did not live up to what was promised in the description and other reviews.

Great place to stay, comfortable bed and a really spacious room. A big pool to cool down and chill after a hot day. The manager and staff are amazing, very friendly and supportive. Would definitely come again.

This is a very well designed small hotel with a lovely pool, an excellent kitchen and eating area for use by guests. We had adjoining rooms which was perfect for our situation, with a cot and extra bed for the grandchildren.
There are lots of very pleasant communal seating areas too. Our grandchildren were very comfortable in the hotel!
On the first night both children were sick making a mess of beds and there was a very sympathetic and swift response, replacing the bedding.
A fridge in the rooms as well as 2 fridges in the kitchen is brilliant.
The hotel is also very close to the town - 2 minutes from the main road, a supermarket and the beach. The railway is nearby but it was not terribly noisy.
The cleaner spent the entire day keeping things very clean. The owner was very helpful and concerned to ensure everyone was comfortable.
Probably the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka.

Super WiFi and constant hot water. Rooms were big with loads of space for bags. Balcony had rail to dry clothes along with pegs. Pool was clean and sun loungers available. Staff were very polite and helpful allowing us to leave our bags locked away safely after we checked out as our flight wasn’t until 10pm that night

This place was absolutely phenomenal. Beautiful rooms, stunning and clean common areas, gorgeous pool, and relaxing garden. The housekeeper keeps the place in pristine condition too and is very friendly. Location is good and 5 min walk to the main road and beach. Loved my time here and can't recommend it enough!

Wonderful
My second time staying here. Huge rooms, comfy beds, beautiful staff and a clean pool. By crossing the train tracks you are only a couple minutes walking away from the main street. When my air con wasn't working I was moved into another room straight away and I was also allowed to stay longer then the official checkout time, thanks for that!

Already my 3rd time in this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pool area and everything looks really nice.
Only a short walk to shops and the Beach.
For the quite high price I think there are better hotels in the area. During my stay wifi did not work and there was not really someone there to help with that.

The location was great just a short walk away from the beach front. The rooms were lovely with everything you needed. Staff were friendly and provided a huge simple breakfast. Would highly recommend, very valuable for money!
