Serene setting for a memorable short or long stay with the lagoon at your porch!
Absolutely nothing to not like about.
It was a perfect stay with a very generous host serving us stories and great food.
The host is an ex mayor of the area but most importantly an exceptional host ensuring the comfort of the guests throughout the stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Hikka Lagoon. The room is lovely and the view is peaceful and beautiful. Even though there were some mosquitoes in the evening, you had the same lovely view sitting inside and looking out through the large glass windows. Our hosts - the mayor of Hikkaduwa and his lovely wife Theekshana, made our stay even more special. We were taken sightseeing and had a tasty dinner made for us on one night.
Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working when we were there but that didn't matter to us. There are also some steep stairs down to the room.

I was traveling a lot through Sri Lanka but this accommodation was my favorite:) This place has the most beautiful view and very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Furthermore the owner are very kind people!! I can only recommend:)

The property is situated on the lagoon, the view from the rooms are fantastic. You can sit on the balcony overlooking the lagoon, watching the beautiful wildlife, monitor lizards swim by and palm squirrels playing in the palm trees.

Everything. Ideal tranquil place to stay, I can't wait to go back. The property overlooks the lagoon with beautiful views and lots of nature to enjoy and admire. The hosts are very welcoming friendly people and looked after us well. They were helpful and lovely to talk to. The rooms are spacious and tidy with kitchen facilities available. Hikkaduwa beach is a 8 minute auto rickshaw ride away. 10/10.

The location was absolutely stunning! I couldn't have wished for a better place to start the new year. Having breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by beautiful and peaceful nature was one of my favourite things, it was a bit like being on safari, there is a lot of animals to see in and around the lake.

An amazing place with super friendly host. Clean rooms, bath ware and sanitary. The breakfast is tasty and owner wife makes it for us. We also relaxed and enjoyed well our day. I can recommend for the others coz everything is so satisfied.

The entire place was well furnished with modern furniture and everything you need.
Lighting fast SLT Fiber internet. ?
We traveled with our 17 month old baby, there was a fully equipped kitchen with stow, dining table, kitchenware and refrigerator, that was a bonus and pleasant surprise.
Place was tidy and clean. There’s wardrobes to keep you stuff in. Nice comfy large bed which could accommodate all 3 of us. AC was running well no noises etc.
Bath rooms very nice and clean well maintained. Had hot water.
Location is probably 5 -6 minutes walk from Galle Road, less than a 2 minutes max in a vehicle. Very easy to find, just follow google maps or ask one the neighbours and they will guide you.
Nearest beach was towards Hikkadua side. (Don’t know what it’s called). It was nice n clean with white sand. Water was shallow and the wave were gently due to natural coral reefs. Turtles come near the shore and swim near you, you can touch them and feed them seaweeds. Nice cozy and safe place to have sea bath.

The location is great, quiet and serene on the banks of the lagoon. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and with air-conditioning.
We enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast - hoppers and freshly prepared juices, teas, and coffees.
We also enjoyed the tasty home cooked Sri Lankan dinners that we decided to try a number of times during our stay!
The hosts are both lovely and accommodating. If you need anything during your stay just let them know and they'll help you out as much as they can.
We had regular power outs, some approximately 2hrs. The villa heats up quickly and becomes incredibly hot as there is a concrete roof and it's completely exposed to the elements. It's fine with fans and air-conditioning, but on a hot and humid day during a long power out it is uncomfortable.
There was also no hot water for 2 days. Hot water is run by solar so this is usually fine, however it rained for 2 days straight. This wasn't as much of an issue as the power, just something to take into account.

To wake up by the lake was most wonderful. The food served was simple and very delicious. The owner was very helpful and very friendly. We had very good conversations. He was a former community leader. The room was great the bed very comfortable. I loved swimming in the lake. Just be careful. It’s muddy with a lot of oysters. I didn’t mind. I made a path clearing a lot of the oysters. The water is a salt water/sweetwater mix. So soft. The owners love their orchids. If you want to chill, away from the crowds and wake up with sunrise over the lake then this is the place.

Very nice location with waterfront view. The amenities are great with our own kitchen and utensils. The breakfast was also great as they provided what we asked.
It's not easy to find the exact location as directions needed for the property. Also it takes a while to get the room cool due to concrete roof was hot due to sun.

The location is fantastic. This property was the best and cleanest property during our 10 days stay in Srilanka. The host is very friendly and provides every thing you need. They also offer us a lemon juice for free. I really recommend this place if you want a clean and comfortable accommodation.
This place is a little far from the city but the lake and location provide a better experience than city.

I am staying in the Hikka Lagoon Villa and it’s the most comfortable and peaceful place I can imagine. Located directly at the lagoon it’s in close distance to the beaches and the hot spots around. The apartment is equipped with all one would need for a pleasant stay. The bed is big and of good quality, AC is working well and the kitchen has cooking facilities, kettle and a brand new fridge. I am having breakfast at the Veranda with a beautiful view on the lagoon and I go swimming every day. But the very best of this place is the people running it. The food they are preparing is delightful. They are so incredibly friendly, respectful and caring and are eager to fulfill all my wishes instantly. I can highly recommend staying at this wonderful place.
