The property was beautiful and was surrounded by a gorgeous garden and greenery. The rooms were super comfortable and there was a full kitchen that has everything you needed if you wanted to cook for your yourself. The bathrooms were also very spacious as well.

Excellent comfy rooms and beds, with a well outfitted kitchen and lovely outdoor space. Very spacious!
The highlight is Wasantha, who is super helpful and provides local recommendations and cooks amazing food! Highly recommend ordering some food while staying here. Authentic home cooked Sri Lankan food!
Also, the rooms have all the amenities and strong wifi, AC, Hot water, etc.

We spend here couple of night with my brother and location and the hotel is perfect and very beautiful. Owner of the the place treat everyone very kindly and you can find the Best comfortable rooms in hikkaduwa for reasonable price this place. His wife is cooking the food for you and it's very tasty ?. Highly Recommend for any Traveller and hope to visit October again for 5 days

We stayed three nights in this lovely house with a adorable family. Whatever we needed they helped us quick. We got free coffee and free tea. The food was delicous. The house is beautiful and the garden too. Its really quiet inside the house.
The room is really comfortable. The bed is cosy, the bathroom is big and everything very clean.
Thanks for everything. We are happy to stay there.

The accommodation was very good. The location is ideal. There are lots of great little restaurants nearby and the beach is not far away either.
The room and everything else is very clean and very well maintained.
My partner and I felt so comfortable that we stayed two more days.
The owner is super nice and wants to do everything to make you feel happy - thank you very much.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful villa in the Hikkaduwa area called " Grand Villa Lanka" , just a 5-minute drive from the beach. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and designed for comfort. The exceptional customer service made our stay even more delightful, with the staff always attentive and ready to assist. The food was truly amazing, offering a perfect blend of local and international flavors. This villa is an ideal getaway for relaxation and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

The owner makes this place! Wasante is an incredibly helpful and accommodating host.
The property itself is also charming. It is not luxurious, which is not expected for this price anyway, but there is a real homestay atmosphere.
Wasante's wife is an excellent cook, if you prefer to eat at the property. The dogs and the cat are fun and friendly :)
This is not regarding this property in particular, but Sri Lanka as a whole - the WiFi is not so great. This can be a problem for remote workers, such as myself. All of the tariffs have some kind of limit, and the connection is not as stable as I would like. In fact, at Grand Villa its better than most places because Wasante has a battery for the router, and Wifi keeps working even in case of power outages, which do happen sometimes.

Brilliant place to stay overall. The room was clean and the host was very accommodating.
The host Wasantha made us welcome from the first moment by having our room ready for us earlier than the regular check in time.
Had breakfast and a dinner with the host on a couple of occasions at an additional cost. The food was great each time and worth the money. Wasantha was very helpful in suggesting things to do and places to go around the area. He also priced a tour for us but we were only wanting to relax during our time there but this sounded excellent to see some of the surrounding sites!
Overall very happy with the stay and would definitely go back.
Some additional charges we were not prepared for such as Aircon and laundry, we learned later in the trip this was slightly more expensive in comparison, but at least the money was going to a family and not a big company. The host stated the laundry was mentioned on booking.com as additional service, but I can still only see "washing machine" included in the facilities. Not the end of the world and also a fair price.
About a 20 mins walk outside the main strip of hikkaduwa which is ok but depending on the heat you may want a tuk tuk. For us it wasn't an issue since we spent most of the time chilling.

Feels.like home! The place is 5 min with bike from the beach and the villa has lots of space. We stayed with a group in two rooms and had the whole house for ourself. Wasante, the owner was amazing and eager to help.

The staff are also very helpful and kind especially during the morning breakfast as they always want to tend to whatever your needs are. The breakfast is also a major positive at this hotel as they have a wide variety of local fruits and a amazing local cuisine. The hotel is also taking a great green initiative by using metal straws, glass bottles and even running an waste water treatment plant thereby conserving water.

Wasanta is the best host ever! We felt ourselves like at home with a lot of care and kindness from Wasanta and his wife.❤️ The terrace is very beautiful and even in the middle of the day wasn't hot there. The house was built more 100 year ago and it's very beautiful, also has gongeous garden around with palms, fruits trees and wild animals?. The W-iFi is the best WI-FI among all places we stayed in Sri Lanka. I enjoyed work remotely with high speed internet, nice view from the terrace and delicious tea that Wasanta prepared ❤️ The hosts cook very delicious food too. We will come back for sure!
