Great place! The host Isham (and brother) was so kind, friendly and very helpful. Isham took us on a trip, cooked great food and the neighbor even came by and showed us som baby crocodiles. This was a great experience. The house is perfectly located by the river, everything was very clean and the pool is lovely for a swim in the afternoon. We give the best recommendations.

We stayed at the Bentota River Villa, an amazing place with incredible views over the Bentota River. The scenery is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so quiet and calm, especially in the early morning. The villa itself is beautifully designed, offering a serene and peaceful retreat.
There were significant privacy concerns during our stay. The owner is not accustomed to renting out the entire villa to one customer and would often roam around without permission, which felt intrusive. On one occasion, while we were away on a day trip, the owner entered the villa despite us having rented it entirely. This was a clear violation of our privacy and made us feel uncomfortable.
Additionally, the pool area is monitored by a CCTV system, which further compromises privacy. It was disappointing not to be able to fully relax and enjoy the pool without feeling watched.
