It is the very definition of a boutique hotel with only 3 rooms you get very personalized service

Good location. Great balcony
Room quite small, with only a glass partition to the bathroom, (although did have a curtain around the toilet). 'Reception' directly outside door, could hear every conversation.

The breakfast was very good and the location is excellent.
The fact that the bathroom and toilet are separated from the room by a glass wall with curtains makes it a bit uncomfortable. Also the room is not very large

The Bend has a colonial vibe that matches the town and is in a great location. It's a bit rusitic, and the breakfast area could not be any hotter :) The gentlemen didn't speak great english, but he was always there, and was helpful. Room had great A/C and nice balcony.

There was no car parking in the premises as mentioned in the advertisement and local people recommended that road parking was not safe. I was warned by the sri Lankan police by parking the car in the place where the owener recommended. Hence, we had to cancel the property and look for another place at the same time. The room was too small for a couple.it is good for backpackers.

The Bend is located bang in the middle of Galle fort and is surrounded by all the hot shopping and eatery places of Galle.
The rooms have an extensive balcony which provide almost 180 degree view of Galle fort streets and if you dont want to step down you can still enjoy the amazing views.
Pros: Amazing Amazing location, great host at the property and fair price.
Cons: Room bathrooms have transparent doors which maybe a problem when you're travelling with family. A very limited breakfast options.
Overall a great choice if you want to explore the Galle nightlife by staying in the middle of the action.

Naveen, the host when I was there, was terrific. He made terrific breakfasts, at whatever time the guests wanted, always with a smile. The bed was comfortable, good air conditioning. The only issue, in the small room I was in, was that the hinges on the heavy glass door to the washroom area had been damaged - someone could get hurt if that door fell off. Otherwise, a good place, quiet at night, and couldn't be more central.
