Friendly, helpful staff, convenient, quiet location. Good communal area to prepare own hot drinks and breakfast.
It felt a little dated, and therefore a little overpriced compared to other similarly priced properties in the same area.

We really enjoyed our stay, very central location. Lovely family running it, who are really helpful. Very quiet, no barking dogs. Good clean room, AC and fan. Communal area with fridge, kettle and table. It's next to the Chinese restaurant, no big sign outside, so it took us a bit of looking to find it. It felt very safe. We were really pleased.

We stayed only for one night with a kid and had a pleasant experience overall. The host was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and really tried his best to make our stay comfortable, which we truly appreciated. There is a nice common, and having AC in the room was a big plus. The location inside Galle Fort is excellent, and considering that, the place offers very good value for money.
As for possible improvements: it would be great to have new bedsheets and fresh towels in the room.

An option of breakfast would make it unbeatable budget bed and breakfast option

Perfect tranquility within the Fort. Beautiful view of the sea and nice space to sit and drink tea. The perfect location for exploring the Fort. Really lovely family run place, the owners were so helpful!

Very helpful hosts and a lovely little rooftop kitchen with a fridge. The host bought us fruit so we made our own breakfast.A delightful place.
Just a difficult access but the hosts carried our luggage up.

It was very tired - new bedsheets and new towels are needed as is some deep cleaning.

Amazing location, good value for money
I messaged the host saying we will be checking in around 22:00 as our train got to Galle from Colombo was scheduled to arrive at that time. I asked if that was okay and the host only said “it’s late” I would have preferred if he’d given us a solution, eg. You would have to pay for late check in. Or - no it’s not possible.

The location with an option of a sea view. The staff were exceptional, could not help enough, even had a lift to the railway station on departure day.
