Internet in Deluxe Queen room did not work (too far from router). Was fine everywhere else!

THE WI-FI/INTERNET CONNECTIVITY WAS TERRIBLE AND THE TOWELS SEEM OLD AND A BIT WORN / ROUGH TO THE TOUCH. ONE BEDSIDE PLUG-POINT WAS NOT WORKING. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FAULTLESS.

We did request an early check in that was approved however we did have to wait 2 hours for our rooms so after a long flight we were quite uncomfortable in our travel clothes while exploring the city. The bathrooms could use a look over in terms of final touches such as paint splatter and a bit of mold however nothing that couldn’t be fixed easily.

Nothing to say - all I needed was a comfortable room and a decent breakfast and attentive staff and all that is present here.

Unfortunately our stay was severely impacted by a complete lack of water to the room - no functioning shower, tap or (importantly) toilet after we returned from dinner until 9:30am the next morning. This made basic hygiene and comfort impossible. Upon reporting this information, staff said they would look into it but we received no updates or meaningful communication until the water did eventually come back on hours later. We understand water issues can be outside the property's control. However what was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. No apology or explanation was provided at the time and when we asked if any form of compensation would be offered the response from management was unhelpful and deeply uncomfortable - after a long conversation where the manager made excuses such as "no one else has complained" we were offered the equivalent of USD$1.67 with the suggestion this would come from the staff's own wages! This left us feeling manipulated rather than supported. We chose Parawa house based on its great reviews and it's a shame our experience did not reflect that. I would not feel confident recommending this property to others based on how this situation was handled.
