We liked that it was a bit out of the main Galle area. Very peaceful with nice views, great pools, and close proximity to the beach. While the water in that area is not very calm for swimming there are some spots where you can take a dip and cool off. Great shell collecting and supposedly if you get there at the right time you can see turtles.
These are very minor things but we felt the dinner buffet should come with non alcoholic drinks such as juice. It only came with tiny shot glasses of juice and coffee / tea. It would also be nice if there was a bit more day-to-day variety in the breakfast pastries.

I love the lighthouse- its architecture exudes old world charm that is simply elegant. Spacious rooms and ours faces a staggeringly breathtaking sunset w the sound of waves lapping on huge rocks. The AC is not that strong- give it time, close all doors, it will get better. Bathrooms are spacious & has a bathtub, super perfect for healing bathroom dreams. The buffet is so so good - a bounty of Sri Lankan fare & a great mix of others. Meats are halal here. The desserts are superb. Lets start with that!
Take the full board package - super worth it. The bed is spacious- it can fit 2 adults & 2 young kids. I found everything to be almost perfect at this Lighthouse. The main office balcony posseses a beauty of staggering proportions. They know how to work the holy trinity of glass, open spaces & less-is-more aesthetic. Enuff to say, i am returning to this place.?

Exceptional ! Location too good especially if you go for the main wing sea view rooms on the ground floor. Ocean around 50 or 100m away from you. Super staff. Pretty cool.
Their seafood restaurant Nihal's - exceptionally slow service. We were the only table that night, still took them 45 minutes to get our food out. Because of off season, they were short staffed in the kitchen.

Excellent location just 2.5kms from the centre of Galle town. Excellent rooms with wonderful view of the sea and the sunset is perfect too. If you are lucky you can even spot turtles in the sea from the property. Extremely friendly and gracious staff. Highly recommended for families

The breakfast was good, with many different international and local tastes. There could be more content in terms of fruits and honey. But overall breakfast quality and content was good. The room and the view was also good. This location is very close to the sea and you can enjoy the breeze from the sea with a great view and sound of waves. The restaurant is located on a very good place and room service is fast.
The hotel is a little bit old. I think the size of the rooms are good but they need a renovation. There is no elevator and it sometimes becomes little bit tiring to reach to the room at the third floor.

The views and location. Not far from the Galle Fort but away from the hustle and bustle! NO LIFT … had to ask for a room change as could not manage the stairs. Staff were very accommodating and help us move swiftly. Views with fantastic. Balcony had ample sitting/ relaxing facilities.
Food was below average. NO LIFT was not aware of this before the visit.
