Our hostess, Nilusha, is incredibly kind and was always there to help whenever we needed. All of her tips and recommendations made our stay in Galle easy and enjoyable. We initially booked for just one night, but ended up staying for almost three weeks, as I had to visit Karapitiya Teaching Hospital every morning.
We had originally booked just a room, but were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean, spacious, well-equippedAair-Conditioned Apartment with a small kitchen, fridge, and a lovely balcony. It was truly worth it.
Nilusha also prepared delicious and delightful breakfasts and dinners for us whenever we requested, at a very reasonable extra cost. She is an amazing cook ?.
If we had known about this homestay earlier, we would have chosen it from the start. We highly recommend Nilusha’s Homestay. Definitely will stay here if we come back to Sri Lanka again.

We had a wonderful experience at Jayalath Homestay. Our host, Nilusha, was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive to every detail, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was sparkling clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Nilusha greeted us with a lovely welcome drink, and we really enjoyed our friendly evening chat with her. Her genuine hospitality made our stay extra special. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, truly authentic Sri Lankan flavors prepared with care. The location is peaceful and perfect for anyone who wants to experience genuine Sri Lankan hospitality and a calm atmosphere.

Everything was perfect. They gave us complete house with all facilities like kitchen, refrigerator, siting area, dinning area, extra bed etc.

We had an amazing stay at Jayalath Homestay. Nilusha, the host, is incredibly kind and helpful. From the warm welcome with a refreshing drink to her constant willingness to assist, she made us feel completely at home.
We booked just a room, but were pleasantly surprised to find it was a spacious, spotlessly clean apartment, complete with air conditioning, a small kitchen, and a refrigerator. It was perfect, especially for a longer stay, so we ended up extending our visit by two more nights.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and generous, with the hoppers being our favorite! Nilusha even took the time to teach us how to make them ourselves, a wonderful experience we’ll take home with us.
The location is great too, just a 25–30 minute walk to Galle Fort, or a quick and affordable ride using PickMe.
If we had more time in Sri Lanka, we would have stayed longer. Without a doubt, we will return to Jayalath Homestay on our next trip to Sri Lanka!

Really enjoyed my one night stay, apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped, host was really friendly. 20 min walk into town via a path by the railway track. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Great and lovely apartment. Useful equipment, small kitchen area (no gas for cooking atm) with fridge and water boiler. Washroom was very good. Beds are comfortable with mosquito net. The ac didn't had a remote control atm.
The apartment ist very big with nice balcony. The breakfast was local and very delicious. Thanks so much for everything, Nilusha.

"We had a wonderful time at this beautiful apartment. It’s spacious, has a private kitchen, and the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We’d love to come back anytime and can recommend this place. The dinner our host prepared for us was absolutely delicious — especially the dhal curry!"

Nilusha was lovely. The perfect host…. Interesting and friendly. And helpful in any way she could be.
She made the most delicious breakfasts… Sri Lankan in style.
The accommodation was perfect, clean, and as it was an apartment, it had everything you could need. It was spacious, and actually it was our best accommodation of all 8 locations that we stayed in Sri Lanka over three and a half weeks.
It was in a residential area, very safe, and actually walk of about 20 minutes from the fort and railway station, or a 250 rupees tuctuc journey.
We liked everything.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, it's a little bit of a distance to Galle Fort but you can catch a bus or walk if it's not too hot. Our homestay host was the best! If you like Sri Lankan food do have her dinner and breakfast which are delicious (extra cost.) A very reasonably priced homestay and one of the best hosts we've had in the month we have been here. Highly recommend.

This place has a super friendly host. The room is very spacious. it also has a garden. It is a short ride in tuktuk from the railway station and the tuktuk are also available during any time of the day.
There’s no AC but it didn’t matter much to us as there was a huge fan.

The host was so kind and happy to answer questions/help us. The room very spacious and had a fridge and little kitchen. Bathroom was very clean and shower pressure was amazing!
There was no air conditioning and the location is a little out of town.
