The room didn’t look anything like the photos. It was dirty (lots of dust behind the bed and the fridge looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for decades). The room just didn’t give good vibes at all, and for that price you can get much better elsewhere. The staff didn’t seem to care about us. Would not recommend you to stay there

We just wanted a place to crash for one night but except the location near the bus stand and train station I can’t think of anything good.
First of all the room was incredibly dirty. The bathroom almost fell apart when I went in to shower (shower knob fell down etc) The sink and the shower head was rusty and there was mold everywhere. The bed sheets were dirty and the pillow was moldy. After I asked for another pillow the staff just gave me another pillow case to put over the dirty pillow. There was no AC ( you had to pay extra which we didn’t want to) Normally we don’t use AC at night but when I tell you this room was a complete sauna…Absolutely humid and at some point at night it smelled so moldy that I had to get outside to get some fresh air. Although there was a Fan inside the room it did nothing to make it any better. I would definitely not recommend this place at all not even for a single night.

People are nice - which is always what makes these stays seem less bad.
Room is very good size.
2 beds so easy to share.
Bathroom is decent and has hot water.
Fan in room is a powerful ceiling fan - not an oscillating one.
Pay to use the A/C unit. It doesn’t work great but it’s worth it as the room is large and stuffy.

Location is perfect. Easy to get to Fort and railway station.
Shared patio is nice especially on a cooler evening.
Cost is on par with what you get.
I picked this place because it was advertised as a 1 BR apt with kitchenette and a washer available on site.
No washer - laundry service available
Kitchenette is a very thin hall of very old items and fridge wasn’t even on. I wouldn’t cook or even know how to get the burner working and tea kettle looked like it would melt if used. A trail of ants made me not even want to try using any dishes.
Not all lights worked - only one in bathroom and not above sink
Mattress was so hard, like sleeping on the floor. Thankfully just for 1 night.
Windows are blocked with cloudy fiberglass. Not a nice view to see - just the backyard anyway. Not able to totally block light out because of a sheet mid panel that is nice in day but would be terrible in the morning. Luckily my train was super early so I was awake before the sun.
Next to train station so every so often, you get startled by horn and noise.
I mostly took videos of the space and it won’t let me upload those so I don’t have a lot of pictures to show

Good location. Good property and spacious. Host was very good with us. Mr. Sarath and his team are helpful and they take good care of their visitors, he helped us okan our travel our trip in galle, mirisa and guided us what suits best to us. He alsi went out of way to accomodate us.
Could be more clean, which we suggested to Mr. Sarath and he made note of it.

Very cute terrace for everybody, staff was very nice and friendly.
Bed wasn’t really comfortable and it was hotter inside than outside, so I think ac is recommended!
It wasn’t the best room, but you get what you pay for, and for that money the room was good.

All right.
The family downstairs is very nice.
20 m walk from the fort.
In this price range there is nothing intra-muros.
I think a mosquito net could help, or a mosquito block on the window.

Lovely family and people who work there. Especially Ashane, he was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The room was comfy and clean.
Just a short walk from the bus and train stations which was perfect for us.
