Exceptional
Super friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic room with sea view in a less touristy part of Galle but still very close to the Fort and the train station. I would highly recommend this stay!

Wonderful
The location is great. Close to everything, yet off the main road so it is very quiet too. The staff were excellent and very accommodating and friendly when my arrival time changed significantly.
The stairs are a little steep. Not a problem but just thought I should mention it.

We stayed in both of their rooms which are on first and second floor. We had to climb with our bags ourselves on narrow staircase with large step size. This makes it difficult for a group carrying large baggage. The rooms are surely smaller than advertised on Booking.com. The rooms were super clean and everything was working. The AC seems slower in the beginning but cools really well. There is a super market 2 minutes walk away and the place is quite. The Galle Fort is 15 minutes walk away or 5 minutes TukTuk ride for ~300 per tuk tuk for 3 people. The neighborhood is walkable and quite beautiful.
This place is perfect for couples with minimal baggage or longer stays.

Very Good
The A/C and internet connection were very good, though during last two days the WI FI didn’t work in the mornings. The room was cozy and clean. The host was nice.

Stayed for 2 nights 3 days to attend the Galle Literary Festival 2024.
The place is a newly renovated/built place with cleanliness and all the new amenities (AC/Wifi/electric shower).
I am really happy with the property, amenities, and privacy.
Not a negative point but from the property, there is not much scenery visible other than a glimpse of the ocean, Galle suburban buildings, and the nearby church. I didn't want any scenery as I was on the move the entire daytime and only stayed the nights at the property.
Even though the place is 2km from Galle Fort it's easily reachable with a short walk and more value for money than some places inside the Fort with fewer amenities and features.

Clean, all we needed ie.. Good bed, kettle and tea, balcony, great bathroom.
A bit short of furniture. No storage, 1 bedside cabinet , no table on balcony.

This is a good option if you can’t stay in the fort. It is about 15mins walk to the fort entrance. Also close to the train and bus stations. The guesthouse is in a quiet street off the busy main road. The room is clean and newly fitted out- AC, hot water, kettle(with tea), and wifi all included. There is a big supermarket at the end of the street.
No mosquito net so we were bitten overnight.
Just a heads up the MAPS.ME address location is slightly off by a few properties. Use google maps or just look for the house number.

We loved everything! The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable.
it was around 7min walk from the train station, located in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Steffan provided a detailed address of the place so it was easy to locate. he was also very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. his mother was such a sweet lady, she was the one taking care of the accommodation, keeping everything clean and spotless.
there is one thing to keep in mind; the staircase was a bit steep, so we needed to be extra careful going up and down especially when it rains or carrying luggages.
100% would stay here again if we come back to Galle one day!
