All the great comments you saw are true. This place would be the perfect get-away spot - it's spotlessly clean, and the best part is the garden/outdoor area, where all the artifacts and decorations are well maintained to the tiniest detail. In the mornings they would change up the petals floating on the water, and in the midst of calm and peace, the breakfast was ready - local style, western style, the flavor offers a sense of satisfaction. It's literally like living in the movies.
My Mom would keep telling me how great this old gentleman was, who always made sure we are being taking care of, with exceptional professionalism and peace in every move. Everyone was thoughtful, friendly, and most importantly genuine. The manager gave us so many great recommendations about the good spots, and made sure everything was taken care of all the way even after we left the property, while Isuru took us around with his Tuktuk. Service and cleanness wise, it would easily beat a lot of the 5-star hotels.
I would say this place is one of my favorite stays of all time. And it's worth my time and effort to write this review.
The AC was blowing straight at one bed (at the head); just flipping myself towards the other direction (head at foot, foot at head) solves it, so I won't really count it as a problem...

Top notch service, delicious western and Sri Lankan breakfasts, comfortable beds, top quality products, lovely seating area. This was one of the best places we stayed during a month long trip to Sri Lanka. Rajith and the other staff were amazing, taking care of us like family, making us feel so comfortable and welcome. Given the location we expected to be bitten alive by mosquitoes, but after two nights there not a single bite. That was a result of the efforts of staff to ensure the seating area was well maintained and protected from insects. Another bonus was watching the monkeys eat in the garden in the mornings. It was such a wonderful experience overall. I highly recommend a stay at The Green Edge and would gladly return on my next visit to Dambulla.

Very helpful and kind staff. The host chauffeured us to a wedding venue at odd times of the night where uber/taxi is not an option. Breakfast was omelette, tea/coffee, fruits, toast, and was delicious. Location is peaceful.

Charming little hotel, which feels like an art gallery. We loved it’s classical design (though it’s newly built!). Location on the dikes is actually very good, as there is no noise other than coming from birds or monkeys :). Attention to detail is impressive. Super clean. Food is delicious. Hotel staff goes extra mile so that the stay is comfortable and memorable, and they were very helpful in arranging transportation for us.
Would be good to have continental breakfast as an alternative to Sri Lankan offering.

The staff were amazing, so attentive and helped arrange a tuk tuk to take us around. It was nice that it away from the hustle and bustle of Dambulla. They cooked for us two nights and the food was very good, better than anything we tried locally.
Nothing, for us it worked well as we wanted somewhere quiet ane chilled.

Excellent communication prior to our arrival. Welcoming, friendly, and very helpful staff, eg organised tuk tuks and taxis at very reasonable prices. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Tranquil garden, good for evening relaxation. Delicious breakfast with attentive service.

Amazing place to stay in Dambulla! The hosts were amazing, great service and hospitality! The place is literally in the middle of a tropical garden hearing the birds and enjoy the sounds of nature! The breakfast was delicious freshly prepared by the hosts every day! Highly recommend! Thanks a lot

Clean and modern in a quiet, residential area of Dambulla (but not very far - 20 minutes away by foot, 5 by tuktuk). Very, very attentive people and easy communication. They helped us get a car, gave us suggestions regarding what to do in the area, etc.

We recommend this place
It is a very nice place to stay, with 4 bedrooms with big bathroom, very well equipped (even with small fridge, kettle and hairdryer) and comfortable beds. A nice small garden and a nice area with sofa to relax. Breakfast and dinner were very good.
But another important component that made the stay very nice were the people running it, all of them and the manager is particularly helpful.

Ps- please do not change towels everyday! Even big hotels don't do it. It is better for the environment.
