I just visited thammenna eco cabins in dambulla the this month and I was Mesmerized to see their luxurious accommodation there staff behavior is also excellent and I would love to visit again

Excellent hospitality provided by host and felt good and excellent staff and one of the best place to stay in Dambulla. Swimming pool was refreshing, and rooms were superb. Restaurants food was amazing, and breakfast was massive. I would definitely recommend this hotel for other travelers who are looking to stay in Dambulla.

the room and patio are good as is the pool, and i gave them an extra point because the son is such a good worker and a real try hard. he is working under difficult conditions where as they advertise and agree for payment with credit card but then immediately and consistently pressure you to pay with cash. also he was very accommodating with our requests particularly when we asked for a small patio table to put our drinks on while we watched the rampant monkey troop launch sortie after sortie onto property, they did not have a small patio table to give us but were able to provide a spare office desk which is nearly the same. also as only the son can speak english he gets handed all the foreigners requests/complaints.
the driveway into this hotel is an unlit goat path no attempt at maintaining a road into the hotel has ever been done, you can walk around the track the 300m to cargills in the day time ok, but i would not be willing to try at night for fear of a sprained ankle or missing the two turnoffs and getting lost.
because there is no restaurant onsite all meals are brought in which makes dining in this hotel very restrictive. the food is just average and a little overpriced.

Thammenna eco cabines I stay couple days .what I like about stuff was so friendly help me out as well .
Breakfast was nice I enjoyed it.
Sandwich prices was expensive it should be not that expensive. Bothroom door was unlocked can't be locked when we take shower.

A quiet and cozy garden with Jackfruit Trees and a nice pool from which you can see monkeys playing in the trees. Near the main junction in Dambulla. Supermarket and restaurants nearby. Great location. Nice staff.
The road to the hotel is dark at night, yes. But it is a short and secure walk. .
No criticism, just some observations:
Some of the Cabins are currently under renovation, which will improve the experience even more.
Due to technical issues i could only pay in cash. But ATM, like everything else, is just around the corner.

The owner is kind and friendly. He had us switch rooms, but this was sadly not really better. You can see monkeys passing by the swimmingpool.
Stains and much ants in the bed, a lot of mold on the walls, strong moldy smell, clogged drain, bright green swimmingpool. Breakfast not good. It is in dying need of renovation! We thought about switching hotels, but a lot of hotels were already full. We were really relieved when we could leave. Worst stay in whole Sri Lanka!

The staff at the accommodation was very helpful; they arranged a safari for us and gave many recommendations. The accommodation has a great location, and the pool was fantastic. I definitely recommend it!
