Very tranquil setting with an amazing and clean pool, easy distance to all the main tourist stuff in the area, which was easily arranged by our INCREDIBLE hosts!!! Giayani and Janaka were the loveliest couple and beyond hospitable. They arranged all of our outings with an amazing safari guide (Hacinta) and took care of all our meals. All the food was absolutely delicious. We didnt want leave. Look forward to a game of carrom with them on our return.

Very friendly and helpful couple running the place that arranged a lot for us. We got a free room upgrade, had dinner with them and played Karrom. The pool was a very nice extra. AC and shower worked perfectly!
Only downside I would say is the location: its a bit harder to go out for dinner or drinks (but they offer a good tuktuk service or you can have dinner/drinks there)

The hosts are awesome. Super sweet and very helpful. The food was AMAZING. In the evening we drank some nice beers and played Karon.

We book this from booking.com. Most of the facilities listed on that website were not available in the room....A/C did not work...there was no satellite TV....even when I told the owner about these things, there was no response....this one had The worst thing is that after we checked out, the owner had canceled the booking after taking the charges from us on the bokking.com website.. They took more than the charges posted on booking.com...

We loved it here! The pool was clean and excellent and both times we used it we had it to ourselves. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, they arranged tuktuks and a jeep safari tour for us which was really helpful. They also helped us to catch the right bus and filled up our water loads of times! Thank you for a great stay!
As the hostel is next to the road I recommend bringing ear plugs. Also, the Wi-Fi didnt reach our room but was good in the communal area! The food was good and delicious. Its not that close to anything but was perfect for what we wanted to do, and we got delicious mangoes and coconuts from the fruit stand very close by. Highly recommend!

This place was amazing, 100% recommended! The pool is really nice and the garden very pretty. We had such a good time with the owners, who are extremely friendly. We played carrom with them, which was a lot of fun. Also, the food was delicious! I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly husband and wife who ran the place. Always up for a chat and amazing at multi tasking! We loved playing Carrom with them and other tourists who were staying at the property. The husband was also SO kind and took us out in his tuktuk for free to the roads near the jungle in search of elephants when he heard we hadnt seen an elephant yet in our 3 weeks of being in Sri Lanka. When we didnt see one (not his fault at all - we had dinner late so it wasnt elephant oclock anymore) he then took us to his favourite lake and we saw fireflies and a beautiful view and had a great time. Their food was also really yummy.
The swimming pool is fantastic and the rooms were comfortable and with AC that worked well.
You need to get a tuktuk to Dambulla caves or any other attraction you want to go to which is absolutely fine as the couple running the place help organise that for you.
We also made friends with a lady selling fruit just up the road from the place who turned out to be the sister of the husband. Shes delightful too - turn left when you leave the Homestay and shes the first stand on that side of the road that you encounter. Her prices are fair and shes fun to chat to!
It would be nice if the sun beds around the swimming pool had cushions as they can be a bit hard to sit on (however we did see some other tourists being offered extra towels to sit on the next day which was nice).

Incredible value for money! The hosts are exceptional, you can tell that they really want you to enjoy your stay. They suggested things to do, sorted out tuktuks (at great prices) and cooked us incredible food (again, at great prices).
The room is a little noisy as near a busy road and it is a little tired in places but for the price you cant complain. Would HIGHLY recommend!

The hosts are amazing. Both of them were so nice and friendly to us. They organized TukTuks, a Safari and also a driver. They gave us some fresh fruits, directly from their garden. And they suprised us with a Gift and a cake for our honeymoon. 100% recommendation!
