The garden and the location.
The property really needs an upgrade. There was mould on the walls and ceiling. The bedroom and bathroom smelt very musty, damp and mouldy.

Super friendly host, she helped us navigate from Colombo to the stay and helped us with public transport for Anuradhapura, Sigiriya and local tours in Dambulla. There is ample space, a nice garden with flowers, overall it was a nice stay ?

Great location just off the centre of town - so finding restaurants and buses was very easy. But it was far enough from the bustle to be calm and quiet.
The bathroom could have done with a deep clean and a mop provided to manage the water from the shower.

The location was great, and the staff was very nice. They also provided water, so we could refill our bottles, and the option to pay in cash with US dollars was a nice bonus. However, the facilities, bed linens, and bathroom were in poor condition. We only stayed for one night, but if we had booked a longer stay, we would have likely looked for another place.

I loved my time there, they are very nice and helpful family and I could see they love animals too which increased my interest in staying there.
Hope Oreo the cat can be rescued and becomes the new member of the hostal and looking forward to seeing photos of him managing the business

Very friendly and clever owner genuinely willing to help with everything! She gave us advice, recommendations, lent us raincoats, provided us with drinking water, gave us precise information about buses, spoke perfectly English, etc.

The outside seating areas are nice.. but the rooms are very hot so you have to pay extra for air conditioning (5$).
There are lots of mosquitoes on the balcony.
