Outside the city in a quiet and peaceful area. You do need a tuktuk to get there and expect to pay anything between 350 and 500 LKR. Room is fine and clean. there's warm water
I booked this place knowing it was outside the city and they have breakfast included as well as food services. Unfortunately this was not the case. When I arrived the host told me she couldn't offer (paid) breakfast as she had no time. Next morning she couldn't offer breakfast before 08:30 she said because she had to take her kids to school. We agreed she could offer this in the evening as a snack, but she was not there. Next day, same. So long story short, np breakfast and no food services! Also, if you want to leave early, this is not possible because the gate is locked and you have to wait until she gets back or hears you. Keep in mind there's nothing in the vicinity where you can get something to eat

We had really good stay in Sayare Inn. Owner is really nice person and helped us arrange all trips even though we had only two days in Dambulla. Thanks to the owner, we made all plans possible. She also borrowed us her scooter to visit the Temple in Dambulla. She arranged for us tour in jeep info National park within an hour after arrival. Breakfast was delicious and we also had great dinner there. It is quite far from city centre, but the owner called for us every day tuktuk. I would recommend staying here! Thank you

Exactly as described with kind and friendly hosts and tidy, clean comfortable rooms. The bed was extra comfortable. The host organised a cheap tuk tuk for us to go to the cave temple and again for the bus station. We are dinner here which was tasty as well as a Sri Lankan breakfast. All super reasonably priced.

Location was in a rural area about 3.5 kms from the centre of Dambulla, but this suited us. The road was fairly quiet overall. Breakfasts were varied, all Sri Lankan in style, nice fruit juices. Happy to help organise a moped for a couple of days, at a reasonable cost.
Bathroom was dated and had some spiders and cobwebs. Lack of anywhere to hang clothes.
