The owner and the family were very nice.
The room looked like a made up garage with the bathroom freshly painted to cover the mould. We couldn't lock the door properly and had quite a few cockroaches coming in and a couple of frogs. The floor was dusty and overall the room was dirty.
Sorry Rob. I hope your other 5 rooms are better than the one you gave us.

Reviews do not lie, Robert and his family are very nice. Robert can organize any trip (made my crazy plan possible). Rooms are quite big and really comfortable Great location in Dambulla: close to main road but quiet

Robert was such a kind, generous host, we were absolutely blown away! We stayed for a few days and were so well taken care of.
Excellent location, very quiet but still close to main road. The area is nice to walk around and theres a nice lake to swim in close by.
Robert will give suggestions for sight seeing or even take you himself.
Youll have free access to the kitchen, drinking water, laundry and wifi (although its a bit unpredictable). If you want you can rent a scooter from him and arrange a safari at a good price. It really feels like youre part of the family.
Its a simple place, certainly not luxury so check your expectations, but it is full of character and love.

Robert and his family are excellent hosts. The room we stayed is located on the second floor of his house. It's a simple accommodation option, but more than worth the price we paid. Robert even taught us how to drive his tuk-tuk.

I booked one night, stayed three!! Robert is always making sure you feel confortable and enjoy your stay in Dambulla. He also gives his own tours and takes you to wherever you fancy and goes with your style. Also his family is amazing and caring, can't recommend him enough.

Everything went well... Robert is always busy and ready to help....there is no breakfast included, obviously for the. Price not possible, but the information should be removed....
WiFi rarely worked.....and having a srilankan sim mobile internet will not help as this place has no signal....

Robert is a very kind host, we stayed 4 nights in his place. Guests have their upper floor, the family lives downstairs. The place is located in a rural area and in our opinion, it was great to see this kind of life on Sri Lanka as well. If you like, he offers a trip around the famous places and safari on his jeep. His price is fair comparing the prices of the safari guides in town. We rented a scooter from him everyday for cheap, and everyday he suggested places for us to see around (there is a lot!). Every morning, he prepared a nice breakfast on the terrace for us. We would suggest this place to everyone

Everything ! The family was just great people. Sharing and helpful. They treated me all the time to tea, tasty local food (whatever time of day), brought me to a nice place to swim in lake, and i went in motorbike for a full day with Robert to visit the area then next morning with his son to see a place a the jungle i wanted to see, we had party together, they dropped me several time, .... They really made me feel I was part of the family ! Location is perfect, very close to Dambulla bus station, but it feels like countryside and it is very calm. Accomodation is sooo confortable, I slept so well ! It was a great stay, so good memories there !
