We stayed in a guesthouse room in Dambulla and was very happy with our experience. The room was neat and clean with a fresh smell. The bed was large with a comfortable mattress, mosquito net (very useful here), and clean bed linen. The bathroom had a flow-type water heater with good water supply. In the room there was also a kettle, tea/coffee, drinking water, and a hair dryer. Next to the room there was a private terrace, very comfortable for enjoying meals. The guesthouse is located on a quiet, clean, and pleasant street, where you can take a walk near a nice lake. The cave temple is within walking distance, and the road is very scenic with rice fields and ancient ruins along the way. The city center is close – about 5 minutes by tuk-tuk, or you can even walk if you prefer. Breakfast was filling and tasty. The owner deserves special mention – he is very kind and caring. He explained local details, gave us umbrellas during the rain, helped organize a jeep safari at a good price, and advised which nature reserve was best to visit. He also arranged a transfer to Kandy at a fair price. For an extra charge, you can order a homemade dinner, and it is really worth it – very filling, with a variety of local dishes, all delicious, and the level of spiciness was just right for us. I highly recommend having dinner at the guesthouse instead of going out. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. The place is excellent for its price, and I would be happy to stay here again.

The place is located just by walking distance from Dambulla Rock Temple. It makes a perfect gateway to Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. The owner is the sweetest, always caring for your comfort. Breakfasts were delicious and made just when you needed. Room was comfortable with working AC, last night it started making some noises, but overall I highly recommend this accomodation ?

Roy was friendly and helpful with directions. His wife cooked us the best food in the entire universe for dinner - rice and six curries. These were so good that every meal I have eaten since then has made me cry because I know my culinary experience in life has already peaked. The homestay is right next to a giant rock that gives spectacular views all around, including Sigiriya / Lion Rock on the horizon. We walked up it for sunset and sunrise. There were some cool geckos hanging around outside our room.

Our stay was made truly exceptional by the warm hospitality of the owner. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They were readily available to answer our questions, offer recommendations for local attractions and restaurants, and promptly address any issues that arose. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast featuring an array of fresh, local ingredients. The generous portions provided the perfect start to our day, fueling us for our adventures. The property's location was also a major highlight of our stay. It was ideally situated, offering easy access to the city's main attractions, Overall, our experience was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of the owner's exceptional hospitality, the delicious local breakfast, and the property's prime location made for an unforgettable stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The room was a great size, spotlessly clean. We booked on the afternoon we intended to check in, Roy was very accommodating and a fabulous host. The breakfast was so delicious with so much variety too. Roy also helped us book a last minute elephant safari, cooked us a sumptuous traditional Sri Lankan dinner, and dropped us off at the bus station for our onward journey. He even went back to the property when we realised we had forgotten one of our bags. A wonderful man! Thanks for a great stay!

Roe was really welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He gave a lift to the centre when it was dark outside and also a lift to the bus stand. He also offered reasonable price for a drive to Sigiriya. The room seemed newly furbished so it was pretty clean and spacious. It was also lovely to meet his adorable family during our stay.

We had a beautiful stay here. The breakfasts were the best during our whole Sri Lanka trip. The owner was helpful and always here for us. Picked us up at the bus station when it was heavily raining. Arranged for us also safari tour for reasonable price. He did his best, although it was raining all the time, we enjoyed the stay here. For the money you pay you get excellent accommodation.

While in Sri Lanka we have not had a cleaner accommodation, nor a host more willing to help. The accommodation is in a quiet area, it is more than clean, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is unforgettable, the tuktuk brought us easily to the entrance, distance to the cave temple is walkable, the kindness of the host is a story in itself. At the end of our stay the host offered us a ride to the bus station and during our entire stay he selflessly helped us with everything. We are too thankful.
