Good location, clean, friendly owner.
owner has tuktuk, so he took us around tuktuk which was convinent stove we had to go to lions rock in the early morning
Good food for dinner and breakfast.
Overall good stay, highly recommend
Shower pressure was less, owner told he would fix it

It was really cute, loved the style of the villa. The hosts were incredible people, so lovely and thoughtful. Food was great. Did everything they could do make us feel comfortable.
The airconditioning was difficult to work properly, making the room very hot then very cold. This was the only thing in an excellent stay.

The family was very friendly and helpful during the few days we spent there. We felt like part of the family, as if we had known each other for a long time. They offered transportation as an option for the planned point of interest. We didn't have to spend time organizing the trip anymore! Everything was fine and I recommend it to anyone! We enjoyed our stay at Girilena a lot. The host family is very warm and welcoming. We were offered a little welcome come drink (juice) on arrival.
Room was spacious with a double bed and an additional single bed for the 4 of us with basic amenities such as kettle with tea and coffee.
We enjoyed the homemade breakfast and dinner cooked by our hosts which gave us a glimpse into local Sri Lankan cuisine. Delicious.
The Dambulla cave temple is just a 10-15 min walk away and one can enjoy stunning sunset views from the rock right across the small local street of the guesthouse. To get to the center of Dambulla, one may need a Tuk Tuk but the owner is happy to help with any request (thank you again for getting us a beer from the store). A drop-off at the bus stand was no problem.
It’s a lovely and warm family and our kids enjoyed to play along with their boys in the garden.

We had a lovely time in the tree house. The owners of the homestay are so friendly and caring people. We enjoyed delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner, they prepared for us in the middle of the garden while we were watching the monkeys chasing each other. Also, on the rock next to the house, you can see the sunset and have a great view, you can even see the lion rock of Sigiria in the distance.
We loved that place.

A wonderful place to stay. The hosts are kind and friendly, and the home cooked food is exceptional. We took the simple tour of the area offered up to Pidurangala (we skipped the Lion Rock rip off). Just out of town it's a quiet and charming place.
There was nothing not to like. It suited our tastes perfectly and the owners are just lovely people you wish the absolute best for.
