Everything! My little house/cabin was spacious, immaculately clean, extremely comfortable with all the amenities. The hosts are beyond kind, helpful, and informative. The setting is magical: beautiful trees, birds, fireflies. Tranquility and serenity abound. I don’t remember staying in a better place than Dambulla Tree House. I cannot recommend it more.

If you are a nature lover, this is the best place to enjoy both the Sri Lankan rural landscapes and the warmth of the people. The tree house is standing among the trees canopy, offering a wonderful feeling of proximity to nature.
The family hosting us is exceptional! Pradeepika is the best cook we've met during our 2 weeks holiday and she modifies her cooking to meet your wishes or restrictions. The first morning we had the -delicious but heavy for our standards- typical Sri Lankan breakfast, i.e. rice and curries, but because of my stomach issues she would cook for us different dishes for breakfast the following mornings. Have her make dinner/lunch for you as well, her cooking is outstanding! (That's why I believe having her cooking lesson should really be worth it)
But the whole family will overall go far and beyond to make you happy and comfortable. They even took us on a family excursion for bird watching and to see the lake and their farm. Their warmth is beyond imagination, really loving people.
If, on the other hand, you don't want to be exposed to nature's elements (insects, birds' singing and ambient humidity), they also offer a beautiful and modern air conditioned room with a garden view. Take this option, so as to enjoy the benefits of being hosted by such a wonderful family...

It wa great sleeping in a comfortable tree house and being able to experience nature. The food was exceptional and prepared by the very knowledgeable host, who explained the ingredients and what they were good for. The hosts couldn't do enough to make my stay exceptional.
A bit tricky to find for some tuck drivers to find, but they were always able to work it out.

This Family made our stay unforgetable, the nature is very beatiful and the breakfast was so so so delicious!

The breakfast was very delicious and diverse, Pradeepika is an excellent cook
The treehouse is a classic open concept setup (no windows) and makes you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle surrounded by the noises of the nature around
The bathroom is functional but the shower could use some work as the water doesn’t drain properly

Stay here was a great adventure because sleeping in a Tree House is something unusual. The House is really comfortable and clean. But the best here is host family. They are super helpfull, warm and very kind. They were always happy to help us or just to have a chat and tell us something about theirs country, culture and food. The mels were also really delicious. The area of Dambulla is also worth seeing. I really recommend this place and I wish I could come back here one day.

The tree house was nestled amongst trees, private, clean, and beautifully presented. The hosts were wonderful, cooked us some lovely meals, showed us their amazing garden and were able to provide transport to key sights and the wholesale food market.

Everything, 10/10, 5/5. We have never been so well looked after in all our travels as we have been at the tree house. What a unique experience. Lying in bed in the midst of the jungle is truly magical. What was also magical was the food created by pradeepika. Home cooked, wonderful Sri Lankan cuisine. As for pradeepika and her husband, they went over and above for us, so so kind.

It was fun to stay in a tree house, but the star of the show is Pradeepka and her husband Nishenka. They do everything possible to make sure your stay is exactly how you want it. Nishenka took us on safari in his jeep, and an Ayurvedic massage was arranged for us on our way back. We could have had a cooking class as well.

Lovely nature experience, excellent hosts that went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Excellent breakfast was included and served also in the middle of the forest.
The bathroom is a bit basic, but does have hot water and a decent toilet.

Pradeepika and her husband were so good to us. They arranged trips to Sigiriya, the Cave Temple and Kaudulla National Park. Pradeepika's breakfast and dinner were delicious. The Tree House is surrounded by beautiful jungle, with deer and jungle birds seen and heard at all hours.

It was a magical experience to stay at Dambulla tree house.The owners were very welcoming and the food on offer was totally delicious, friendly, helpful staff with a good explanation for every dish they served. If you love to cook authentic foods they arrange it in their farm hut, it's an awesome experience to know how they prepare local foods..
I loved the rustic architecture of the treehouse accommodation and the beautiful green surroundings . The bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep. I saw and heard many beautiful birds and other native wildlife, such as squirrels, jungle fowls, mongoose, land monitors and more fire flies during the night. It was a
great place to relax and also a good base to visit the many sites of the cultural triangle, Dambulla, Sigiriya, Pindurangala..
They have well organized jeep safari service to watch wild elephants..
