Great place to stay in Dambulla. Dileep is very friendly and helpful to make your stay more pleasant. I also took his nice offer to visit Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa both on the same day. Highly recommended.

The guesthouse is very close to Dambulla Cave Temples which was the reason I chose it. It has decent rooms and very friendly hosts. Run by a sweet family who are always willing to help out. I always got response within a min if I needed anything. I found their rates for tuk tuk to Polannaruwah and Sigiriya so I opted for a private one and they didn't mind. Had breakfast one day and it was a big spread and pretty good.
The room is very clean and the bathroom too.
The common area was always deserted even though it was fully booked. Not a bad point for the owner but probably the other residents during my stay.
Also the main door was kept open all day and traffic sound was always there since it's a very active road.

Very nice place and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was great! Really kind people who run it!
Laundry service was quite expensive, we paid about 12 euros which was way more then we paid anywhere else.

There were mosquito nets in place, and the hot water in the bathroom worked well
The rooms are facing the traffic on the national highway, with the noise and air pollution this implies. The room was dirty, with animal poop soiling some of the linen. The staff on place, a young boy, was not able to do more than show us our room and collect our money. The location, despite proximity to the town center, is not so good since the road there is busy and there are no sidewalks.

A very good place for couples and families to spend their vacations. Cleanliness is well maintained. Also the little guy in charge of the place and his family are very nice.
(I was charged more than what was shown on the booking.com app. There is no problem with that. But please inform about the service charge in advance. The service is very good)

The place was very clean and nice. I was checked in much earlier. The owner was very friendly and helpful. First when I came I was worried that it was just next to the street. But as my windows of the room were facing the other side of the building I was not hearing street sounds.

If you are looking for a place with a good price, easy assess and a nice host, this is the place!
It is close to the cave temple. What's more, the young and gentle host Dileep offers tours to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa. Just ask when you arrive. I woke up at 5 am and took Dileep's car for the sunrise at Pidurangala. I also realized it was more convenient to sit in his car to travel around in Polonnaruwa since the weather was hot and there were many places scattered around the ancient city.

Convenient location to transit between tourist hotspots.
Although common facilities(pantry) is available , this is not informed to the guests making it difficult for families to go about regular errands. A bottle of water needs to be kept inside the room, this is no big deal.

Although the accommodation is on a very busy noisy main road, it was peaceful inside and my room quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and tasty. Dileep and his mother were both very helpful.
The area is just down from the wholesale market and was quite dirty and difficult to walk along the road in order to get to the Golden Buddha temple. Difficult to find anywhere to eat.
