It was a last minute booking but they were ready for me, flexible in the check in and check out! The room is clean, big and new! With AC, ventilation, good light! The hotel is a really green paradise in the city! The family has a huge backyard garden ideal to escape the chaos of the main road who is literally 1 min away! Good breakfast (and welcome “rice and milk ;)!
Special thanks to Paaraa: from the recommendation of the laundry, to the bus info, the tour of the garden and especially the Tuk Tuk driver you put me in contact with: it makes my short stay in Dambulla one of the best part of my stay in Sri Lanka :)
I had to work and the WiFi did not work properly the whole time so consider working somewhere else in the city: in the area the connection is not working well , generally speaking!

I stayed in the shared dormitory (4 beds), it was nice, with a large bathroom, large lockers, confortable beds and efficient AC. The host is very friendly. Breakfast is very basic. Overall, the quality over price ratio is excellent.

+ they have a big green garden, and although it is close to the road, it is pretty quiet
+ banks with ATM and Western Union at a few steps away and supermarket at less than 5 minutes walk
+ bus stations on the main road at about 5 minutes walk away
+ the host can arrange for tuk-tuk at very good rates
+ good A/C and powerful fan
+ mosquito net over bed
+ big room and big bathroom, both very clean

The location is great: right at the main street and close to the bus stop, but still relatively quiet due to the big beautiful garden. The family is super nice and caring. The breakfast was delicious.
It didn't bother me, but there were some animals in the room: mosquitos, lizards, frogs, spiders... There are nets over the beds, so you can sleep without worrying. Only if you don't like animals or are disgusted by them should you know this beforehand.
The room quickly becomes very humid if you don't leave the air conditioning running.

Very friendly host. He arranged tuk tuk for us and kept our luggage for half a day. Beautiful and convenient location, the host has his own garden with fruit trees and plants. The room had AC and was clean with new bathroom.

The hostess was very welcoming and helped me with everything I asked her. I was surprised at how well equipped the room was (hairdryer, shampoo, AC) and how clean everything was. I was able to enjoy a very delicious dinner, where the eggplant and chicken in particular were deliciously marinated. I would stay here again and can highly recommend it! :)

The owner is a really helpful person. He try to help you as much as he can. Location is near everything.... bathroom big with hot water. And you can eat breakfast and dinner in the hotel who cost cheep and is delicious ?
Some noisy cats and animal during the night . But not a big prb becouse I sleept anyway ?

They helped me not only with the accommodation (that had good AC, was very clean and quiet, with even toiletries for the shower and co) but also helped me arrange last minute all my travels in the area (dambulla, sigiria, safari)
also, The dinner was amazing, so tasty and so much food for just 1800 rupies!

A haven of quiet in the city, next to pizza hut but isolated from the noise of the street. Staff always ready to help and organize excursions or connections with tuk tuks, clean rooms with outdoor space. Excellent

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! Our hosts, Mr Demi and his family are very warm and hospitable. Sri Lankan tea as a welcome drink was indeed very refreshing! Their homestay is like a green oasis in the heart of Dambulla city. They have a huge garden with plenty of plants and fruit trees! Room was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable . AC was functional . Washroom has all the latest fittings incl a geyser and hair dryer. Location of City Paradise is worth mentioning here. Bus station, Restaurants, cafes are all within 50m from the property. Plenty of Tuk tuks are avl outside to go to Sigriya and sightseeing in Dambulla. We had delicious Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast freshly prepared by Demi's mom and sister! Thank you Demi for making our stay so memorable at City Paradise!

Amazing helpful and friendly staff! Even made me breakfast after arrival because I travelled in the morning and hadn’t eaten yet. Helped me with a tuk tuk driver to Lions rock and the temples for a fair price (really nice guy named Sonny). Beautiful garden! Large and clean room with hot water! Gave some delicious fruits from the garden when I continued travelling. Amazing stay!
