The hotel is a marvel, beautiful building and rooms. Breakfast was very good, maybe lacking a bit on local options. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rooftop pool small but ideal to break the heat. There was a big discount when we booked the room, that surely helped in making us happy.

The villa has extremely nice interior design, it's reminding me old days, especially the door locks and fans, fantastic views from the balcony, special when it's raining, staff were friendly, excellent breakfast.
An air freshener in the room/bathroom was too strong and smelled. Bathroom missing an exhaust fan.

Lovely large room with a sitting area plus a very big bathroom and added dressing room. Original old doors and window shutters. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate our needs.
No milk or creamer is provided in the room. There was little natural light even though the room had large patio windows as the balcony was shadowed with vegetation and shuttered windows had no glass.

Staff were incredibly helpful, breakfast was lovely, AC super effective and the room was quiet at night and spacious.
Room is quite tired, but perfectly clean and usable.

The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. The AC worked and was quiet. The location is in a quiet part of Colombo.
The so-called deluxe room (room 301) wasn't big, overlooked the parking, not the courtyard, the tv was on the desk, so nowhere to work, the fan was noisy so we couldn't use it but at least the AC worked, lampshades, curtains and walls were all dirty. It really didn't look like the pictures, but if what we got qualifies as their version of a superior deluxe room I would hate to see a standard room. The lobby was tired and not very inviting (such a weird vibe when you arrive at this place). Breakfast wasn't great either (a lot of food on offer but not great quality). They had a sewer problem so the restaurant area and bathroom stank when we first arrived, so we didn't even want to try the food. Not much within walking distance. So, unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our stay here, it was as expensive as a well-known 4 star brand hotel a few KM's away, but we thought it would be fun to stay at a boutique hotel, which has usually been fantastic in Colombo (we travel there several times a year) .

Wonderful
A great hotel. There is a strong sense of design, and there is a Taoist Tai Chi and Eight Trigrams map at the entrance. The interior of the hotel highlights the South Asian style and "Zen". The service was also of a very high standard, and the staff were friendly and amiable.It is worth mentioning that the hotel's meals are particularly delicious.I will recommend it to my friends

Our stay at Zylan Luxury Villa was a wonderfully tranquil experience that left a lasting impression. The tasteful decor and attention to detail made the surroundings truly inviting. The staff's warm hospitality and genuine helpfulness added to the overall charm. I especially enjoyed spending time by the pool, a refreshing spot that allowed me to relax amidst the lush environment. The koi pond added a delightful touch to the atmosphere.
The room wasn't as nice as in the pictures.
