I stayed here for the first two days after I arrived in Colombo. It's located far enough from the city center to be quiet but still close enough that it's a quick ride into town, or a quick(ish) walk. There was an excellent breakfast, and the owners were super-helpful about where to go and what to do in Colombo and beyond.

We stayed here twice and were very impressed indeed with the quality of everything. All communication before we traveled was responded to immediately and they arranged all our transport plans and airport pick up. Our room was spotless, spacious and beautifully appointed and a super comfy bed and settee as well as balcony. We had the choice of bath or shower which was also very attractive. It’s located just ten minutes from some restaurants and a supermarket and close to the city. We found it a wonderful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a quiet sanctuary. They arranged all our city tour for us as well which was really fun and informative as well. Finally you receive a lovely breakfast which will set you up for the day and they even assisted us with a pizza delivery when it was pouring with rain. What a great place thank you.

Very friendly attentive staff and nice talks and recommendations from the owners Susan and Rajive.
The area is nice and quiet but only a 20 min ride away from the CBD.
Breakfast was sumptuous and you can choose between Western or Sri Lankan.
Pretty decorated room and a cute dog (pebbles) on the property.
We would like to stay there again!
TV wasn't working but only a minor point that we didn't bother to flag.

We stayed for only one night but we would have liked to stay longer because the place is really beautiful. It is located in a very quiet area of Colombo, within a private street, with a green garden and a courtyard where you can have breakfast in peace and quiet. Our room on the first floor had all the comforts: a huge bed, a sofa, air conditioning, and a spacious bathroom. Everything was extremely clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent! Compliments to the owners and staff, we will definitely return.

Located in a leafy peaceful part of Colombo. We received a warm welcome and friendly hospitality.
The breakfasts were delicious and filling.
Rajive gave us good recommendations for the rest of our trip and made us feel very welcome into his home.
The room is very comfortable, spacious and clean and has a nice view of the trees.

This is a wonderful find! Suzette and her team did everything possible to make us welcome. She shared knowledge and suggestions to enhance our stay. Eating the exceptional breakfast in the beautiful, peaceful courtyard was a treat. Urban Bliss really does love up to it's name!

Had a homely feeling while we were there! Our host, Mr. Rajiv, was really pleasant and helpful. We had a nice time interacting with him and his staff.
* Beautiful home - The interiors are nicely decorated and the stay is spacious. Our room was neat too with a big glass view at the back.
* Breakfast - Sumptuous meal and friendly staff. Good portions, freshly prepared and served with a smile. Quite healthy too!
* Location - Posh area, not chaotic or noisy. Can recommend taking a stroll in the mornings or evenings.
* Host - Had a few nice chats with him and he even helped provide us with an office room so that we could finish up the formalities for a self drive car we had rented
Nothing of significance to dislike. The host is a wonderful and kind person who will make you feel at home and treated well.

A tastefully furnished house, clean, calm, save, with positive energy. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. Typical Sri Lankian breakfast was delicious. Not so far from old town. We will come back for sure.

Rajive and his family have a wonderful house. They live in the property, and make us feel very welcomed. Rajive and his wife are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is great, and the room is very well decorated and spacious with a big bathroom and a balcony. The whole stay felt peaceful, we could hear the birds in the morning.
We highly recommend the stay for future guests.

Beautiful decor, amazing breakfast, in a lovely part of the city away from the chaos but still within reach if great restaurants and just a short tuktuk to the action. Hope to stay here any time I'm back in Colombo!

A really beautiful place to stay in Colombo. Rooms lovely and clean with comfortable bed and hot shower, all set in a very relaxing house and quiet street. Breakfast in the courtyard was excellent and the host really kind and welcoming with great recommendations. Surrounding ‘7’ area has nice parks, museum and historic interest. Lovely experience
