This was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka and turned out to be one of the best. The bungalows are set in the grounds of a nineteenth century dutch estate, well away from the roads and in an open wooded / forest location. The bungalows were very well decorated and the host was so kind and attentive. We were even provided with a cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Breakfast and dinner (we took the half board option) were excellent and plentiful. The entry hall, lounge and dining area of the main building were beautifully furnished.

A truly wonderful hotel nestled in nature. The spacious, immaculate rooms, the infinity pool seamlessly blending into the natural surroundings, and above all, the incredibly kind and hospitable staff made our stay unforgettable. The curry we had was also delicious. Thank you so much for such a fantastic experience!

Our stay was perfect! The spacious bungalow was clean en beautiful. It is located in a tropical garden with many birds. The pool is beautiful! It is close to a small village where the people are curious and super friendly. We walked to do some shoppings. It is not a touristic area and that is what we loved. The food was also really good! The staff helped us to arrange a drivers to bring us to the next stop. He recommended some sightseeing and our visit to temples was great! No tourists and we were invited for a tea by a monk!

Very peaceful and comfortable bungalow in lovely surroundings. Good pool. Fresh tasty food. Excellent staff who made us feel at home. They were exceptionally helpful in organising a courier to send on a package we had left behind. Fantastic service, thank you.

We had a magnificent stay at Comilla Bungalow.
The staff went out of their way to make us feel looked after, the home cooked meals were delicious, the house is beautifully decorated as if in an old coconut plantation house in the 18th century and the bedrooms are spacious and the grounds and swimming pool absolutely beautiful! The birdlife on the property was also incredible.

Elegant house and beautifully designed rooms - very peaceful with beautiful birds and nature surrounding Lovely swimming pool and gorgeous gardens.
Very comfortable and spacious rooms but they do need a little redecoration but were lovely nonetheless. Food was nice enough but limited - no alcoholic drinks available. Access tricky by car.

This place is something else. A little piece of heaven on earth. We had such a relaxing stay and the staff was so great! Highly recommend this place. The interior design and the pool are reasons enough to go, so is the food served.
Nothing to dislike.. maybe that the small road leading up to the property is not in the best shape.

THANK you so much for this beautiful stay.
At first we were there for 6 nights - and everything was amazing ! So actually we came back a few days later for 4 more nights !
We enjoyed the calm atmosphere with the stunning view, the garden, the pool and sounds of the birds.
We will never forget the outstanding service and the food.
We will definitely visit Comilla Bungalow again.

Beautiful hotel set in a lush green area full of sun birds, squirrels, flycatcher birds and lots more amazing animals. We stayed in the Silva villa which was incredible. The food is really great but what made our stay memorable was the two awesome staff members Chamara and Indika who went above and beyond with helping us out every day. The hotel is quite close to Gampaha which has a nice botanical gardens that you can visit. .
