Amazing staff, so friendly and accommodating. They let us check in at 4am due to our flight times! Waited up for us to ensure we were looked after when we arrived. Rooms are massive and the pool is beautiful.Great balcony as well.

The location is beautiful it is right on the lake and you get to see a beautiful Sunrise and Sunset every day, the menu is limited, however, the chef has an excellent hand at what he does, you must try the string hoppers and other local delicacies that he cooks.
Apart from the fact that you cannot walk to the property after sundown as it's quite inside there is nothing much to not like.

Really high standard hotel,we were very satisfied!! Perfectly clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and proper european standard bathroom with bath tub. Personel was also great and we enjoyed delicious food. Perfectly located at the river. You can do a boat tour on the river

Beautiful villa right on the river, nice pool, beautiful garden, lovely and quiet, had the place to myself. Fantastic service, delicious food, very friendly staff. The chef took us around in his tuk tuk and on a boat trip from the villa for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this place.
The building and rooms are a bit tired and could do with some investment. The fridges are old and rusty inside (not a problem for me, I don't use the fridge, but it does not look nice)

A fabulous hotel in a stunning location. The pool was lovely and the attention to detail by the staff is amazing. Nothing is too much. Thank you Chef, Leonard and Amalia (sorry for spelling) for you fabulous food, service and kindness. An experience I will never forget and definitely return.

Our transfer from the airport, organised through the hotel, was perfect. The breakfasts are wonderful-tasty and very fresh-different seasonal fruit every morning. The evening meals are superb-a choice of European and Sri Lankan dishes-dont miss out on the delicious Sri Lankan curry! Lovely, large comfortable rooms, gorgeous location and garden-it is every bit as pretty as the photos. Peaceful, but easily close enough to the local town and beach. The hotel staff arranged excellent trips and activities for our family. The swimming pool is large and well maintained. Overall, top marks for a brilliant hotel.

The lagoon location was great, the staff were excellent and the chef/boat/tuk tuk driver was superb, especially his Sri Lankan food!
The pool needed some attention, as the tiles had some sharp edges and it was easy to cut yourself if you weren't careful (children) , this is a minor issue and it shouldn't stop anyone from staying here.

The balcony looking over the river from the 50 meter garden was idylic. An extraordinary orange sunset was in full swing over the river and scores of fruit bats were flapping off into the trees as we arrived. In the early morning the hotel chef (for a very samll fee) took us up the river and into the mangroves in his own boat, showed us a brown fish eagle and a huge owl and a crocodile.
It could not have been improved.
