the stuff was friendly, especially the restaurant service and two bartenders: Buddhi and Kanishka - they were always happy to see us and ready for a quick chat. We also loved the pool guys, they were very helpful :) I loved the beach, overall the facility, and the good vibe. Also our room was great: with mini fridge and balcony. What is important the AC was working flawless! The wifi is very strong and fast and is working even on the pool area or by the beach. The garden is very well maintained. There was a live music almost every evening, so we used to enjoy it with some books in our hands. Overall we recommend this place and we would gladly spend there another week!
I found it difficult to communicate with the reception staff; their English was limited, so often we could not get the answers to the questions that we asked. We also didn't like that when we ordered the lunch box for our all day trip for a specific time, it was not ready and not followed up on. Eventually we had to leave as our driver was waiting, and we were caught by the stuff in the parking lot by the skin of our teeth. The common bathrooms could be cleaner and we were disappointed with the all inclusive beverages; they were all watered, we didn't try the alcoholic beverages, but the offer was very limited and only local alcohol was served (no wine). The vegetarian food options could have more variety. Also majority of dishes was really spicy. There is no transport service and the tuk tuk drivers are out of control both on the beach and in front of the gate (they harassed us for ordering an uber). I know this is no fault of the hotel, but more like a watch out - if you plan to order a taxi, make sure that they will pick you up from hotel premises (don't wait for them in front of the gate)

Wonderful
We loved the staff, who were kind, thoughtful and very attentive. Im sorry we did not learn the name of the lady who checked us in as she was superb! Also Saranga, the pool supervisor was very attentive, superb at his job and made us feel very special. Our room was..well, wow! No idea how we managed to get the upgrade but the suite was incredible!! All rooms face the sea, pool and garden. Restaurant was good, lovely selection of food, but the soups were my fave!
Nothing to complain about at all

The hotel does not arrange taxis and they advised that we had to go outside to pick one up. Then we had to negotiate fares and trust we were paying a fair price for where we needed to go. If the hotel does not provide transportation then they should advise on taxi fares so the guests do not over pay and feel confident in getting in one.

Very Good
The location, the beach, the staff and the wildlife.
The pool was constantly dirty, the grass area could be cleaner (a lot of cigarette butts on the floor), the pool/beach towels were in bad condition and the buffet choices were pork-heavy. The overall facilities need an uplift and are very outdated (such as tv in the room and beds).

Poor
The only good in this hotel is that the hotel close to beach!!! Otherwise it is not worth the money..
The furniture in this hotel is very old, and the bathroom is very dirty and needs renovation. The booking was for all-inclusive, but the food selections are very poor. We had two instances of water issues in the bathroom. The tuk-tuk drivers near the hotel gate are forcing customers to use only them, not allowing other drivers to enter. For example, if you want to book a driver from Uber or PickMe, they will not be allowed. I made a complaint to the local police , hoping this will be resolved. We talked to the hotel manager, but he ignored us. I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel.

My recent stay at this hotel was a rollercoaster of experiences, blending the highs of fantastic facilities and location with the lows of a few dining disappointments. Let's start with the positives the location and facilities exceeded my expectations. Nestled in an excellent spot, the hotel offered breathtaking views and an array of facilities that left me impressed. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. Now, onto the dining experiences. I indulged in all three meals at the hotel, and the on-site restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The Christmas Day dinner, though not the best in terms of variety, featured tasty offerings. However, the crowded setting and limited food choices slightly dampened the experience. Breakfast proved to be a highlight, surpassing both lunch and dinner in terms of variety and overall satisfaction. Special recognition goes to Nethmi, the staff member overseeing the live stations during all three meals. Her skills at the grill during dinner, omelet station at breakfast, and preparation of battered prawns and fish for lunch were nothing short of phenomenal. Nethmi's dedication and expertise truly stood out, making her an invaluable asset to the dining experience. The staff, particularly those in blue uniforms, exhibited friendliness and a helpful attitude. It's evident that they are junior staff, navigating their roles with limited guidance and training. Despite this, they made sincere efforts to meet our expectations. While the hotel has great potential, especially with standout staff members like Nethmi, there is room for improvement in the dining department. A more diverse menu, especially during festive occasions, and additional training for the junior staff could elevate this hotel to excellence. With a few adjustments, this could easily become a top-notch destination for travelers seeking both comfort and culinary delights.
In retrospect, my experience with the all-inclusive package at this hotel left much to be desired. Despite assurances of complimentary beverages and liquors, I felt that the attention given to all-inclusive guests was lacking. It seemed more like a marketing tactic than a genuine commitment to providing additional value. The disappointment continued when, due to the upcoming Poya Day, the hotel decided not to serve liquor. While I understand the cultural context, it raised questions about the fairness of promoting all-inclusive packages that do not deliver as promised. Guests paying extra should receive the services they paid for, without exceptions. A notable hiccup occurred during check-in when I was informed that my all-inclusive package covered dinner, breakfast, and lunch the next day. However, when I opted for lunch at the la carte restaurant during check-in time, the cost for two seafood fried rice plates exceeded 4,400 rupees, a steep price for a meager portion with a taste that did not justify the expense. Adding to the disappointment were the supervisory and managerial staff, identifiable by their white shirts. Their unfriendly attitude and occasional rudeness were off-putting. During meals, they engaged in lengthy conversations with acquaintances, potentially tour guides or individuals in the tourism industry, creating a disturbance for other guests. This unprofessional behavior detracted from the overall dining experience. There is a need for improvement, particularly in the communication and professionalism of the supervisory and managerial staff. A more collaborative effort between the management levels could contribute to the creation of a cohesive and efficient team. The all-inclusive package, as experienced during my stay, did not prove to be worth the price. The inconsistencies in service, coupled with the unmet promises and unprofessional behavior, leave for improvement in the overall guest experience.

Calm place at the beach for a relaxing holiday. The beach is suitable for swimming because of the coral reef but the water is not transparent as the water comes in from many rivers. On the other side from the reef there is a good spot for surfing.
We enjoyed playing table tennis and billiard. Theres evening entertainment with some live music.
Always the same songs looped at the reception
