Very good and quiet location, by the sea! Amazing host Sagarika , her care for us and our comfort was 100%.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. There was no air conditioning in the one room, so the host gave us another separate apartment with air conditioning. Fantastic!
The location was great, the beach was nearby, there were sunbeds. It's perfect for an August holiday as there are not many holidaymakers hanging around, the beaches are empty ( just be aware that they are not being cleaned at the moment so there is definitely litter) but the restaurants and bars are open. Prices, like in Europe:))) There is an excellent ayurvedic massage centre nearby, I highly recommend it, also a surfing school. Totally we had a great holiday
The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast. We paid a lot for it - 10$ per person per day in my opinion, but it was really tasty and made with love, so it didn't spoil the overall emotion

The location of the property is excellent. On the beach itself.
The pool is clean and big enough for a swim and leisure.
Its a peaceful place to unwind and be away from traffic and noise.
Trees and greenery surrounds you.
Sagarika is a perfect host.

Amazing value for money. Clean, comfy, great breakfast, very spacious rooms, balconies, I had too much choice as to where to do my yoga practices! Four towels in case you shower a lot ;) Very easy check-in and communication, its a family run property and the main host Sagarita is just the sweetest person, really going out of her way for you to make your stay an out of this world experience. I felt very cocooned and in the same time enjoyed my privacy, but Sagarita is always available to help, which makes things easy (from ordering a Tuk-Tuk to take-away and so much more, fluent English and even speaks German) Amazing sea and garden views, the long sandy beach borders at the propertys garden! Pool is lovely to cool off in late afternoon and you are surrounded by tropical birds including peacocks. Speedy fibre Wifi in case you need to get stuff done (just in top room you might not have access, I just used my Sri Lankan phone data.) Everywhere else WiFi is super fast, the apartments are amazing as well, for solo travelers, couples or even a small family. When you snooze off at night lying in the large comfortable beds you hear the sound of the ocean.. what a magical place.
Everything was fabulous, really.

It was our second visit to Sagarika. We love the location on the beach and being able to walk along the beach to restaurants serving great value meals including local fresh fish. The family who own and run the hotel are very friendly and helpful and make everyone very welcome. Breakfasts are delicious and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel garden attracts many local birds including peacocks which are great to see. A lovely place to stay in a sunny safe and friendly country that really needs more tourists. Highly recommend.
Not a criticism of the property of course, but mosquitoes are always about in the evening so mosquito nets and deterrents are needed.

we have stayed here before and it is one of my favourite hotels and locations in Sri Lanka. This is a l great hotel leading onto a fantastic stretch of beach. the beach is shallow into the sea making it safer to swim than many parts of Sri Lanka . we stayed in the penthouse which is a large apartment with a massive terrace on three sides visited by peacocks and numerous colourful birds. Monika the owner is fantastic, arranging transport and recommending great places to eat.. Breakfast was whatever we requested. loungers and towels were provided together with a well maintained pool but we mostly went to the lovely cinnamon cafe nearby right on the beach which was a great place to chill.

Easy access to beach but slightly back from it made it feel very private. Very nice first floor terrace overlooking the garden where breakfast was served. Manageress very welcoming and pleasant. Beach , north of Bentota, easy calm swimming and good hard sand for walking.
Lighting in the room not good enough to read by and Wi-fi access a bit hit and miss.

We appreciate very much the well organized and professional host. From the first moment Angelika let us feel home. Very nice warm welcoming and during our stay , she was helpful for organising for us a tuk tuk ,reservation in restaurant,etc. The room was nice and spacious. The bed very comfortable and the linen impeccable clean. The Garden with a big pool invites you to stay. We had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka in company with tropical birds . Very good cofee and tea , delisciose local fruits , home made jam , eggs ,toast and cake. Every day a surprise. We had everything we needed to relax and have a perfect stay in this wonderfully place. We hope to come back with our friends.

Wonderful location. Swimming pool is located in the beautiful garden. You have everything to relax. I would recommend this place to my friends.
The one thing that id like to see in this hotel is a staff for a barbecue in the garden. Small grill or something like that. You can find fish market not so far from the hotel. And id like to cook bought shrimps or tuna by myself.

Very nice hotel with one of the best guests Monica, she helps us with a lot of things. The hotel is in very good quiet location with wonderfull garden, big pool just in front of rooms and beautifull beach just behind the garden with perfect family restaurant, we ate there a lot. Superb hospitality of whole family. I can fully recomend this accomodation.

The owner is very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the great breakfast on the terrace viewing the trees and garden und watching birds and chipmunks. The garden and pool are fantastic. It was very beautiful. To the beach you only needed to walk through the garden. During the day time the beach was quite empty. The part of the beach in front of the hotel is nice as the sand is soft and weite. The shower was great. I only recommend this hotel.
I booked the room too late and only got a room in the back which did not have a view and no television. But as I only slept there, it was ok.
