Beautiful gardens with a nice pool and gazebo. Very friendly and helpful staff - Senna, Tony and Hari. The warmth and hospitality of the staff really made us so comfortable. The in house chef made fantastic Sri Lankan dinners for us
There was no power back up. Given the remote location of the property- its a bit unnerving to not have any light and very uncomfortable to sleep without the airconditioning The rooms were very basic and threadbare. There was an excessive amount of spiders, moths, mosquitoes. I understand that this is a tropical area, but properly sealed doors and windows is a must - especially when spending over $1000 a night

Absolutely stunning property which is run by a small wonderful staff who fall over themselves to cater to our every need. Grounds are immaculate and you may be lucky enough to get a sighting of their resident monkey

Beautiful property with vintage colonial decor, come here for the intimate boutique experience, very friendly and helpful staff
Avoid the spa services, unfortunately I had internet connectivity issues during my stay there but honestly its only better if you can disconnect and immerse yourself fully in the beautiful landscape the hotel has to offer

Exceptional
Authentic Sri Lankan colonial property set in a magnificent garden. This is an exceptional experience with the essence of 19th century charm and a very professional and attentive staff. The chef is amazing and we had our best culinary experience in the country. Waking up with the bird songs and the sunrise glinting through the glorious vegetation was a truly glorious start of the day. A 5 star boutique hotel run by happy people who obviously love the place and their job. Totally unique. Dont miss it!
